I've come across a few members of the forum that have IMO posted some really good stuff over a fairly lengthy period but haven't quite managed to hit the 50 post threshold partly because they don't post so much rubbish like people me ! Quality is obviously subjective, but my guess would be that the mods and admins have a good sense of what is a good post or not. I give petrichory as an example but I'm sure there may be others. p2pindependentforum.com/post/345012/threadWithout wanting to write reams and reams on this, I wonder if it might work if those members that haven't made 50 posts could still be invited to join at the sole discretion of the admin etc ?

Sorry, but there are very specific reasons for the 50 post limit, and the forum admin/mods are not going to make any exceptions, and that is stated very clearly on the DD Central info page.
I'm locking this thread as discussion is pointless, the forum rules will not be changed. Sorry.

I've never liked cliques and would never want to be part of one.
Most of those that are members of DD wear it as a badge. They don't appear any more knowledgeable than the rest of us.

Merged from a new thread created today: I've never liked cliques and would never want to be part of one. Most of those that are members of DD wear it as a badge. They don't appear any more knowledgeable than the rest of us.
The tag 'Member of DD Central' is a deliberate identification of those that have access to the detailed due dilligence that is available in DD Central on almost every self select p2p loan that has been written on the platforms that it covers. Information that can not be published on this open forum, but nevertheless should assist in forming invetsment decisions. Some that have access to DDC contribute, some don't. In addition, having 400 plus forum members with eyeballs on DD that is supported by links to various government websites and other indendent sources of information (such as estate agencies), has reduced the scope for those few rogue forum members to publish erroneous info purporting to be "DD" on the open forum in an attempt to ramp the secondary markets for their own profit.
Membership of DD Central is entirely optional, but highly recommended for anyone who qualifies for access and is investing in self-select p2p loans. (Similiarly the AC Private Board for those investing in AC's self-select loans, and the TC .net forum for those investing in TC loans).
