I can no longer access my email client, which is my log in email address... requested to change my email address, and was informed that to change my email address, i must inform them from my original email address, the very email address i no longer have access to.. hopes this makes sense.. any ideas? PS. i have tried to access my blocked email address to forward my new email add....etc etc ...

You may have tried it already but it might be worth trying to contact whichever hosting service / provider you used for the email address. It might be difficult and time consuming but I can't think of anything else to suggest .

If you have a copy of some emails from the old address perhaps they would accept that as proof it was yours. Worth a try maybe.

The support article states:So, their process would appear to acknowledge that the old address may have been compromised, hence requesting three other forms of verification. Seems reasonable to me that if you supply those three additional items, and explain that your old email address is indeed compromised (tell 'em what you like, the pertinent part is that neither you nor Lendy can rely on it) I'd hope that they should be reasonably satisfied with the request. If they revert to 'computers says no' mode - ask them to escalate to the Compliance Officer, as you are curious how 'Lendy' will continue to communicate with you for purposes of AML/KYC and the Administration process. Right now, *everyone* is having to go through additional identity verification checks, so it's probably best to wait for this process to be completed (estimated for October at the moment), so that they'll have something to verify your further request against.
If they're able to verify your identity from the info they already have, it'll be a lot simpler for you using a competely different email address to prove you're the same person. If not, they'll at least know that they need to do a completely new ID check from first principles.
I doubt it's entirely uncommon for someone to lose access to a former email address, so there'll probably be a process to deal with it (but perhaps will charge an admin fee?). However, if there's no good reason that you shouldn't be able to access that email address (e.g. it's just a configuration error with your email client, or you need a password reset or similar), regaining access to the "old" email address is likely to be simpler.

I went through this once some time ago, one of my email accounts was closed down suddenly with no sensible answer from the email provider (on a £1 a minute phone number!) Fortunately no financial accounts were linked to that email, but the difficulty of changing email addresses was ridiculous, companies insisting on sending confirmation emails to the old email address, even having got the new email set up manually on the phone the confirmation link still went to the old email. Then you find you can't even set up a new account (with your new email) because there is already an account linked to that name and postal address. Nightmare.

Obviously providing all security information required, just don't send a confirmation link to a dead email when I have explained that I have no access to it. I think I still have odd accounts with an ancient unusable email linked to them. I know there is one where I get emails directly from individuals in the company, but they never could get the automated emails re-directed. Hope it's easier to fix these days.

on the same date as posting i emailed lendy and explained the situation, granted still only 4 days ago, but as i speak, no response... to make the position a little more clear, i had the audacity to tell talktalk where to place their poor service, and they then had the audacity to block my email address's... hopefully lendy will respond and we can sort it ....

As mentioned previously, they're probably ignoring all enquiries concerning verification, because they currently consider NOBODY to be verified. To quote from their most recent email (which I acknowledge you won't have received [1]):
As far as I'm aware the "further email updates" have not been sent out to anyone yet.
If you pass the automated check, then even though you won't actually get the email that tells you this, it will still mean they've got verified details to check you against using your other email address.
I also get the impression that the 20 September deadline (that they self-imposed, but appear to have missed) was only for those investors who are "easy" to handle because they're still in email contact. In particular, another readily-identified group were told to wait til october:
Edit: put another way, although you can of course put pen to paper and spend money on envelopes and stamps any time you want, until RSM's Lendy Team get their act together and have verification details confirmed for any investors (which will certainly be mentioned on this forum), it feels to me like you'd be wasting your time on this issue...

But plenty of people have reported being verified. See the thread AML Checks. Plenty of people have also reported being asked to provide additional information. And yes, it's a complete shambles!

So far all perfectly right... not a dicky bird . Based on what others are reporting on the various other threads on the matter, I think any time from now on may be good time to have a follow-up email asking how to verify yourself. They seem to already be handling such enquiries for others.
A mis-matching email address probably isn't the biggest problem they're having to deal with; presumably you're still able to prove your ID via all the other info they have on file (name, address, date of birth, etc.)
Personally, I still have control of the registered email address and haven't heard anything at all. I'm planning to wait until I receive something (even if it's just a circular to all known investors, and especially if that circular claims they've now contacted everyone) before contacting them again, as I currently see no need to use up any more of their valuable time.

For me I will never invest online again. I’ve got a large 6-figure sum invested at the end of an email address that is now god knows where with god knows who. I actually thought I had more sense than that. What a moron I am. I might as well just have wired that money directly to LB’s BVI account, in fact we probably all did. Don’t respond saying I’m an idiot and we’re all responsible for our own action because you can’t make me feel any more stupid than I already feel.
