Hi Duck
New to this or any forum, been following since day one of the farce. Col investor, very much based on the FCA registered logo and due diligence I did before investing.
How easy would it have been to have a structured folding of collateral, possibly with the loan book sold to another P2P company who have experience of how it works! Complete muppets at the FCA, same chap running FCA in the running for the BOE job.... God help us all!
Already put my complaint into the FCA directly, would love a copy of the letter to MP's and will follow up with mine asap.
Much appreciate the info and advice given by all on the forum.
Regards...

I've just had a written response from my MP, Iain Duncan Smith. His response states that he is writing to Andrew Bailey, Chief Exec of the FCA, asking him to respond to the matters I have raised.
He says he will come back to me once he receives a reply from the FCA.

Just received a postcard from the house of commons following the sending of Ducks letter. Message from my MP states i will be looking into this matter for you very soon and will be in touch. Looks like we have a movement going here. Just cant see how they can wriggle out of this one. With all the MPs on board we should have a good press coverage. Well done duck. Surely we must all feel a bit more hopefull

Yes. Right on tommytaylor . 👍 And any COLL Lender reading this, if you still haven't contacted your MP yet, with all the "free" tools provided to make it SO easy, words fail me. ( For a change. 😂 ) JUST DO IT, AND DO IT NOW!

Response from my MP: We are sorry to hear about the problems that you have had with Collateral and subsequently the FCA. The minister would be happy to take this matter up with the FCA and the minister with responsibility.
Can you confirm that you are happy for him to attach a copy of your letter, as it sets out your issues very clearly.
I believe I am the first in my constituency to bring the matter to his attention. To back up what Ozboy said, it's so easy, I wasn't even registered with the forum, 15 min wait for authentication by the forum, quick note to Duck, PM sent by Duck ("personal message" to those like me not into forums!) personalise it with your own details - 20 min. Find your mp at www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/mps/ I emailed a PDF and my MP got back to me the next day. The more people contact their MP the more questions will be directed at the FCA and the minister responsible. As my MP said the template letter from Duck sets out the issue very clearly (simple enough for even MP's to understand!) There are 650 members of parliament, there must be a Collateral investor in almost every constituency.

Letter was sent to my MP (Caroline Nokes) on 26 Sept with a follow up/reminder on 7 Oct but so far I have received nothing from both the FCA and my MP.

rogerbu sundown precaution PM's sent. No time limit on this, I have an unlimited number of copies of the letter and the more that are sent the better. With every letter that is sent to an MP (which they hopefully take up with the FCA) the chances of a satisfactory resolution to this issue increases. The results so far are very promising with MP's from all Parties taking up the problem. That said as seb8072 is finding out not all MP's are responding. Whilst this is perhaps not surprising don't forget that there is an Election on the way and these MPs will be looking for votes which gives you a little extra pressure that you can apply sensibly. Talking of sensible pressure, nothing beats making eye to eye contact with your MP to get things moving. So if your MP isn't responding consider calling into / making an appointment at a Constituency Surgery, so far this approach is having very good results. Thanks again to all who have sent the letter to their MP, each one helps.
