The AA has completely disappeared from the market on Wise Alpha for the last couple of days, anybody got any ideas what's going on. It usually means they are buying more!! And can take a couple of days to reappear...

This is from the Interim Report, 24th September:
Financial:
· Revenue up 2% to £491m, reflecting solid performance of Roadside and Insurance divisions
· Operating profit up 3% to £120m, Trading EBITDA up 2.5% to £165m and PBT up 50% to £42m
· Free cash flow to equity (pre-dividends and bond buy-back) up 214% to £44m (H1 19: £14m)
· Capex of £37m (H1 19: £36m) in line with expectations. FY20 and FY21 capex guidance maintained
· S&P reaffirmation of ratings of Class A notes and Class B2 note
· Interim dividend of 0.6p, in line with prior year
Maybe there's another buy-back or WA are buying more.
Why not ask them via the help desk?
I'd like to buy some more.
I think they have some 2020 maturing bonds which are more likely to be their priority for a buy back. There is an interesting comment in their risk statement about the significant increase in cost of any new bond issue to replace maturing bonds. They also state that they have it covered by a senior facility to 2023. I was thinking of topping up based on the results, I will ask the help desk.

WA confirmed that they remove from the market for two working days whenever they make a purchase.
I will top up on the AA when it reappears, i liked the results and planned initiatives (from bondholding viewpoint). I'm also comforted by the statement in the risk assessment suggesting they have the bonds covered by an alternative facility to 2023.

I think I might be getting the hang of this WA thing LOL
Not only have I got a good hit rate on what's being listed next in the Sterling notes, but I say I want to buy some more AA and they rush out and get some.
I hope they haven't bought more than September's income......
Maybe I should come out of retirement?
I keep hoping for more JLR notes. I just did a search on the forum and couldn't find any threads. Any thoughts?

I doubt there will be more of the same bond. They don't seem to top up the 0% fees notes

I keep hoping for more JLR notes. I just did a search on the forum and couldn't find any threads. Any thoughts? Sorry, I've never looked that them. I am keeping an eye on the Aston Martin ones. Not that I'm that keen, but if the yield increase I might just have a little nibble. I do remember reading an article about "car" debt. Of the listed on WA I think I remember the most postive comments were for JLR. The new Defender has been well regarded in the motor press. I've got an old one. Think I'm going to be adding a Dacia to the household fleet soon.
So you collect cars as well as cats? I know, a collection of one cat! That's what we have (he's enough!), but just the one car too (a Lexus L400). Would love to see a pic of your cat BTW.

No, we are not in Omaha! Else I'd still be in bed... My OH has always taken the view that there's no point in spending a lot of money on cars. He also needs something suited to his height (tall). We bought the Lexus 2nd hand nearly 10 years ago for just over £4K and expect to still have it in another 10 years. It's been a dream... if we wanted to sell it we'd have to give first refusal to the guys who do the servicing and MOTs!
