Good day all . I have one little suggestion that may save you some trouble and heartache in the future. I have noticed comments from people on other threads ie. Lendy in administration. Where people have had trouble because they have had to change ISP and their email address are no longer accessible. Can I suggest everyone should buy their on domain. A .co.uk domain is under £3 a year. With this you you can have unlimited email addresses allowing many benefits such as Amazon prime for free and multiple coupons or competition entries where the restrictions are 1 entry etc per email address. You have a catchall on your domain that forwards to a permanent private Gmail/Mail .com etc address. Example. Buy your domain . Example. P2PHERO.CO.UK is 79p for first year You can then have anything as email address at that domain and can keep track of who passes on your details. Example for say Your British Gas account give them Britishgas@p2phero.co.uk you then know if it is passed on. UKReg for instance allows forwarding of up to 50 unique address and has a catchall that forwards those not on the list. Change your Amazon prime address monthly and get it free Buying a domain either as you own name or family name or whatever gives you greater freedom and control of you digital presence. I use auto fill on browser to enter details for completions etc. Where email is filled in with domain name only and you add the chosen name. So you can use eg. Comp1,comp2 etc If you change ISP you just change the forwarding address. I hope this is useful. Have a stress free day.

Doesn't Amazon require a name and address as well?

As it happens I do have my own domain, but its not a panacea. If you use a real mailbox based on that domain, you run a real risk that your emails will be rejected as spam (silently, in some extreme cases) by email service providers. And if you set it up as a redirecting email address, you are heading for problems when someone demands to get an email FROM the address you've given them. There is also a security risk: your domain service provider account is not especially well protected against hackers and if you lose control of that then all sorts of bad stuff will happen and there will be no-one to help you. There is an easier way: just get yourself an email address with gmail or outlook or similar. It will survive forever and won't get routinely bounced as spam.

There is an easier way: just get yourself an email address with gmail or outlook or similar. It will survive forever and won't get routinely bounced as spam. If you you MS outlook to send your emails you can use any email address you like and it is identified as such. As to domain service provider if they were proven vulnerable to hacker attack they would not be in business long. I have done this for over 15 years with no issues all mail is directed to my ISP address and then sorted using ms outlook to file into folders . I do use several domain names and Mail and GMail accounts. As most companies require email verification any false spam identification will be picked up. The restrictions on file size and storage of gmail etc can be constricting .. I have every email sent and received for over 15 years stored locally easily and on ISP servers . It may not be the only solution but it is a very useful thing to have. For a number of reasons. I do agree that the choice of the domain service chosen is of the greatest importance and I have changed over the years which is a relatively easy process.
