I've applied for government jobs needing security check and criminal check, applied for mortgage over more than 5 banks, opened many more bank accounts, utility, mobile, and way more.
And NONE of them have ever asked for unredacted and certified bank statements and ID.
ALL of them have accepted the post office certification.
It's something so un-likely that when I went to both my bank metrobank and lloyds the staff didn't get what I was asking for.
Metrobank staff said they got a stamp when printed it must be certification.
Lloyds said when printed there a message saying there's a message saying it's printed in store it's a certification.
It's such a damn joke that even the solicitors would ask to get the original bank statement to certify (while rsm says the certified print out is ok) because they're confused.
Is there something we could do? This is a terrible abuse of power and tactic to clamp on more fees.
I start to understand why recovery takes so long. The longer it takes for anything, the more money they get!!

They are determined to strip the carcass clean and leave us the bones. When they’re paid by the hour they find ways to burn hours. They’re so blatant about it too. They have us over a barrel. They could tell us that it’s mandatory to sing the national anthem whilst standing on one leg patting our head and that we need to make a selfie video in the presence of a professional and then send the video to them by courier. Answering questions asking why is chargeable. Delays means we keep what little money we were considering returning to you indefinitely. Who are we going to complain to? The FCA?

However, it seems to me that it may be worth letting them either come up with some even more outlandish reason why they still cannot distribute funds even after most customers have passed AML checks, or to actually go ahead with an initial distribution, before starting a formal complaints procedure.
As with most similar complaints forms, it also expects you to have attempted to resolve the complaint first. Given the existence of a creditors committee, and the relative economy of them complaining on behalf of all creditors about the seemingly onerous (in at least some cases) checks, it may be worth getting in touch with your representative(s) on the creditors committee to voice any complaints, rather than giving RSM an excuse to bill even more time for "complaints handling".

This reminded me of the scambaiter 419eater.com e.g. www.419eater.com/html/tope.htmI will pop to Morrisons later to get my fish, just in case.
