Advice please.
I have a few thousand euros invested via the Flender P2P platform who are based in S Ireland. Normally I reinvest all repayments, however a few months ago made a less than hundred pound withdrawal to my RBS UK current account & was staggered at the low exchange rate (euros back to GBP) PLUS charge RBS made. As I have property in Southern Cyprus & a (euro of course) account with The Bank of Cyprus I more recently attempted to transfer surplus euros from Flender cash account to my Cypriot account. The Bank of Cyprus returned the transfer to Flender as I could not demonstrate a single source of the investment funds (the cash surplus having accumulated over several months from dozens of borrowers making both Capital & interest payments).
How do other members get over doing either euro transfers, or euro to GBP transfers, without being ripped off?

Have you tried Revolut, Starling or Monese? All offer free Euro account. Revolut offers competitive exchange rate with almost 0 fee.

I also recommend Revolut. The exchange rate is very good. An alternative would be Transferwise Borderless (but there exchanging is not free). BTW I use Revolut the other way around. I live in the Eurozone. When I withdraw from a UK platform, but don't want to exchange the money into Euro and rather invest the pounds again on another UK platform, using Revolut I have a UK account and sort code so I can withdraw to that account and invest on another platform with no bank fees.

I use N26.com for moving Euros about between P2P platforms. Never a problem and always free. For currency exchange (for smaller amounts) I use TransferWise to do the exchange, then transfer the Euros to N26.com. Same in the reverse for exchange the other way.

Many thanks all for your information. I opened an account within minutes with Revolut & my first transfer into it should arrive shortly (fingers crossed!).
