Hi Guys, Really please to say that a new listing, Harold Place, will be going live Monday 18th November at 10 am. To give you guys a little background information about the opportunity there is a page here you can have a look at. There's also an investment brochure that can be downloaded on the page. We will be developing a site that has planning permission granted for 3 three bedroom apartments. These apartments are situated in Hyde Park, Leeds, and are very close to the university campus (0.7 miles). The money raised by the crowd will contribute to the development cost. Once the construction is completed the apartments will be let out for the 20/21 academic year, and then listed for sale with an estate agent. The projected return for this project is 14.05% and the term is 12 months. As a way of saying thank you we would also like to provide an exclusive offer to the members of P2P independent forum. I invested in this property yesterday. This morning I received a refund of the 2% investment fee in the form of extra shares in the property.

If it does half as well as my previous investment with uown, which returned an XIRR of 33% due to earlier than expected completion, I'll be very happy.

Thanks, A banner ad on this site prompted me to take a look at Uown for the first time. uown, after 6 weeks this project is just 40.5% funded, despite the fee refund offer. What is the current status of the project? Is this statement still accurate - "The building works will be completed in time for the new 2020/21 academic year, ensuring that the new properties can be let out."

Never seen so many bars on windows. No doubt some are hoping those will eventually be the thoughts of various directors from Collateral, Lendy and FundingSecure. Others just wish them well. A very deep, very dark well.

Hi Nomad, The above statement still holds. Our timelines are still very much on track despite the sluggish xmas period, which we had expected. Building works are due to commence mid Feb and be complete for July. We will be listing the opportunity till the end of Jan, and then our backers will be funding the shortfall if there is still one. Furthermore in terms of the offer for P2P we only have 7% left till we reach 60% funded so if you are interested in investing and want to receive the offer now would be a good time to get money in. Never seen so many bars on windows. Not sure what you mean by this, it has gone right over our heads I just meant streetview. Not trying to rubbish it and wish you every success. (In fact if it hadn't been for recent events on other p2p platforms, Uown was on my radar to have a look at).

No problem. That's very understandable. The issue that we identified with many of the platforms out there is that they generally speaking know how to run a platform, but don't have expert knowledge on the products that they offer on it.
Anyone in the property industry for example will tell you that there are pitfalls that can trip up the uninitiated, unfortunately this seemed to be the case, and is the reason that many platforms haven't had the best success.

I have been investing with UOWN for about two and a half years and everything so far has gone well so I decided to invest in Harold Place and about two hours later received my 2% bonus shares. Looking forward to successful completion in 2021.
