Due to bad timing, retirement and moving, I have had to start the verification from scratch. They asked for items from a long list, most of which are impossible where I am!! I have done my best, but am expecting several more hoops to jump through!! Not really worth the trouble yet as only 1,200 out of 18,000 up so far!

Seems like I failed the verification for some reason. Need to send all papers again. I live outside UK, and the way the administrators require the papers make it a lot more difficult. What a total mess.

They say they have not received my papers, but my records show it is received..... I never receive e-mail from them either, even though they claim to have sent me two e-mails about verification. But I receive the Lendy weekly update, so I have no idea what is going on here.

Did you send to right address? AML (International) Verification Team, Lendy Ltd c/o Shoosmiths, Forum 5, Parkway, Whiteley, Fareham PO15 7PA United Kingdom.

Yes, same address, except the (international) in the first line. They didn't provide "international" in the address when i asked..... Anyway, this is very frustrating. I have never witnessed an AML check like this!

I had to get a notarised copyof my passport at great expense and trying to explain at the bank that you want a statement with the address in English - impossible, everything else was a non-starter!!!

This mess is not maneagable for international investor It cost a fortune to do the papers and send its safely to the UK where it gets rejected Even worse i was allowed to withdraw 250 pounds before they flagged me for AML check..the money was deducted from my balance yet the money never showed up because "i had not completed the aml check" yet this money was taken from my balance and they are not putting it back despited 5 emails asking how that is possible? Its worse than a scam really..of course when lendy was needing money for loans..foreign money was more than welcome I would have never thought something to this extent could be happening in the UK specially from an FCA licensed company

Seems like I have passed the AML-check. I had to resend all my info a second time, though.

I wonder where it went the first time.
I wonder if RSM / Shoosmiths have reported these multiple data losses (you are not alone in having to resubmit data) to the ICO.

Hi MarkT,
Yes, it's not a nice feeling knowing my personal info have gone missing. But I'm pretty sure it's in their offices somewhere.

That is the most likely explanation but it is one of the reasons I haven't yet risked sending any AML check information to them.
Maybe I'm over cautious but the way this has been handled just doesn't feel right to me.
