Johnson will go down in History for saving the country ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... from Jeremy Corbyn. And probably nothing else will be said in BoJo’s favour. JC the worst prime minister the country might have had. BJ the worst prime minister the country did have.
BJ models himself on Churchill, I understand, Churchill was a complete disaster to start with, according to many, but ended up a national hero. Neither is the full story

In retrospect, Dom couldn't have gone because without him our PM has absolutely no coherent ideas or plan, and everyone around the PM has been chosen on the basis of blind obedience to the government line and subservience to the idealism of purist Brexitology. Cummings IS the government at the moment. But more and more his failure to go exemplifies the decayed core of this failing and corrupt administration. OK - got that off my chest. Poor as they are, remember we could have been stuck with terrorist-loving Corbyn, Comrade McDonnell and Abacus Abbott in charge. With lashings of Long-Bailey, Dawn Butler and Jess Phillips to cheer us all up. Not really - they were unelectable. But a more representative Parliament would have been nice, without an large and absolute majority for the current government to abuse - but then I am a stanch opponent of First Past the Post, one of the reasons being the situation we currently find ourselves in.

Can't help thinking that catching the virus is probably the best thing Trump has done for the American people. Lets just hope his gun toting looney supporters don't think this is some sort of weird conspiracy Of course they would never do that.

Government majorities are a bit like Goldilocks and her porridge. There's a very small margin that leads to a desirable outcome.

You mean he got the job by accident, and there's a significant section of the party plotting against him?
Took Churchill a while to settle in, so maybe by the time that Brexit and Covid are over BJ will be up and running.

I know some politicians in this country take a bit of flack for not being too clever, but this from the land of 'you couldn't make it up'
Republican Senator for Florida Rick Scott has clarified that he does not have Covid-19 after earlier telling Fox News that he had tested positive for the virus.
Scott says he "misspoke" in his interview with the channel

Well, this IS a good day to bury bad news.... Postive cases reported today: 12,872 Fake news
Due to a technical issue, which has now been resolved, there has been a delay in publishing a number of COVID-19 cases to the dashboard in England. This means the total reported over the coming days will include some additional cases from the period between 24 September and 1 October, increasing the number of cases reported.

It's almost being contrarian just for the sake of it. In that, there are those who blame the Chinese for Covid saying they're responsible and should pay somehow, yet it seems they are the same people who won't take responsibility for spreading it now because they're not wearing masks and have large gathering where they hung dozens of people. Perhaps others have said this and I just missed it - sorry.

Well, this IS a good day to bury bad news.... Postive cases reported today: 12,872 Is this the latest technical trick to lower the reproduction number for a certain period?

You get bad figures one day a week and good figures for the other six (shame the bad figures are really bad).
