Looks like if you want a pint after that then you need to wrap up warm, but shops to remain open.

If vaccination and natural imunity is preventing the spread, then why did cases go from 500 a day to 25,000 a day before it kicked in?

Sources told The Times that ministers will be shown the plan "imminently" and the newspaper reports that under a new "Step 2" set of rules people would only be allowed to meet indoors for work purposes. Meanwhile pubs and restaurants would once again have to serve customers outdoors.
The "rule of six" rule would be reintroduced for outdoor meetings, while shielding would return to protect the most vulnerable. However schools and shops would not be shut under the plans, The Times reports.

Calling any passing asteroids. Please direct yourself at Earth with all haste. I couldn't watch past Corbyn taking the mic and trying to rap 'don't take da vaccine'. Excrutiating.

www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2021/dec/14/nsw-covid-restrictions-easing-of-rules-to-go-ahead-despite-sharp-rise-in-case-numbersI can’t understand why there are no better plans. The Oz have fun down under despite surge in Victoria. The work purpose bit is just wrong place at the wrong time. Not breaking the rules last year?

If vaccination and natural imunity is preventing the spread, then why did cases go from 500 a day to 25,000 a day before it kicked in? ? ? Because it firstly ripped through those with low/no immunity and is now finding that it has reached a tipping point of too low a density of such people who it hasn't touched to carry on 'ripping' ? Or perhaps rather it is still to a degree ripping, but by definition those with little/no prior immunity would be the initial wave of severe enough symptoms to be picked up (testing), and those with higher immunity are simply either getting no symptoms or insufficiently severe to bother doing anything ?

I hope we could learn more from the experts in South Africa if they could provide more “data”.
Is it really possible they have absolute 0 Omicron deaths in SA?

Is this the same Oz where the Perth Ashes test match has been relocated because Western Australia won't let any other Australians in without quarantine?

Maybe we could follow the Dutch example and have a strict Christmas lockdown, with only 4 adult visitors allowed in your house on 24th, 25th or 26th December.

South Africa's health ministry said it was unable to say with certainty if any of its COVID-19 deaths were caused by Omicron as deaths were not broken down by variant.
