I vaguely recall seeing somewhere on the Santander website the usual recommendation to check for "FCA Regulation" before investing (not banking), but I can't locate it. Maybe I have the wrong bank but if not, does anyone out there know which web page IF Santander does have such a Statement on it? Muchos Gracias.

Many thanks, was aware of that radar . I immediately at the time of that posting checked my various Bank Account websites and some had such statements re the FCA on them, and some didn't. Santander is my main account and I thought I saw such a statement within the Santa website somewhere at the time but got waylaid and didn't note it. So, can anyone point me to any FCA Statements/Recommendation re Investing (not Banking), if it exists, because as I say I vaguely recall seeing it lurking somewhere in the bowels of the Santa website? Otherwise, yes, I am going for an Alzheimers Test. 😨 I thank you.

try this in google (also works in ecosia):
"FCA" site:santander.co.uk
narrowing it to retail.santander has very few results.
Try it logged in and not logged in.
a trawl might pay off. You could try looking at the cached page of each but it depends on how long ago you saw it and whether they wished to change. It might be a warning that shows only when you try to make a payment?

Thank you zlb. I have Googled until crosseyed, and flipped through countless Santander website pages, but "the statement" remains elusive. As I said, I think I'll have to acccept that I must have seen it on TSB, Nationwide or elsewhere, like most I'm a Rate Tart and have Bank Accounts coming out of my rear orifice. Self Assessment Tax time is always interesting round OzBoy's gaff. Thanks again.

Thanks again. if you can remember more of an exact phrase, or use words that you would want to find in such a statement like "protected" and "FCA" then maybe. Just in case anyone else interested take note that google search boolean is no longer boolean (in fact it's algorithm is rubbish), and one has to put quotation marks around single words as if they were a phrase just to have the word that you specifically typed not ignored by the algorithm because they want to push other rubbish at one. In the past a simple + before any single mandatory word sufficed. One day they'll take the functionality away for the -/minus sign and a new search engine can then have the opportunity to take over the world.

You're not thinking of the ' Initial Disclosure Document – Investments' document, maybe? Side note. For those who pondered - or are still pondering - over whether to be (self) classified as 'Sophisticated' or 'High Net Worth' clients: Yeah, FCA don't want retail clients in P2P; might have to a offer some protection to 'em ...
