See also p2pindependentforum.com/thread/16779/merging-unsellable-loans-personal-account but putting this here as it's not just AC that's going to be a problem.... I emailed Orca to ask how we should get tax statements from the other platforms they invested us in... "Thanks for your message this is an important point. From last week we no longer have access to the accounts and therefore tax statements can only be provided directly by the P2P platforms where the holdings were held." So that's nice. I only invested the minimum to get the bonus (moral of the story, bonuses really aren't worth chasing unless you actually like the platform and want to invest - I didn't, couldn't see who their model would really benefit, except them obviously - but I also wasn't an AC customer then so had no idea it might take this long to exit) so at least only need to worry about LB and LW, and have already emailed them to see what hoops I might have to jump through there. Will update when I find out. I'd like to think that since "this is an important point" there might be a further communication from Orca to advise us we'll need to do this but I won't hold my breath.

Aye most of my 'whale bonus' has already been eaten up by wonderful Assetz unsellable loans. So it seems Orca did not invest through the Assetz access accounts, daft, and me dafter for bothering with them or anything to do with Assetz.

I've made numerous bad mistakes with p2p, but at least I've got this one right - never went for Orca offering.
"Double lending" to the same loans worked badly with BM - amongst others I'm stuck with 2 Col loans there (the loans I was already in directly).

FYI LB have already forwarded me my tax cert...LW will have to wait until they generate them all in April.
On the "bright" side if AC do manage to merge the accounts at least I'll be able to forget about this account more quickly than I might have otherwise.

AC told me Orca Money have money invested into Cash account and GBBA (Series 2). So, that's where the money stuck. So I have two AC accounts. Fine.
EDIT: #602 was repaid on 19th Feb. Otherwise, I would have £23 stuck.

AC did a great job helping me getting back the stuck cash in the "Cash account" for my 2nd account (Orca Money), awaiting money hitting in the bank. Let's hope I don't have to wait "too long" to get back whatever the amount "stuck" in GBBA2. 124 transactions history in the GBBA2 since 1st Jan 2020 for withdrawing £13.8.

It may well be a special account but it's still labelled GBBA2 in my newly accessible Orca account, with <£10 in it - and for which I have to do that quiz for a THIRD time (once for standard, once for ISA already)!

It appears Orca fails to display the loans properly. In the Orca Money account, it shows 33 LW loans for investment less than 1p. Orca also shows 608 AC loans while actual AC GBBA2 account has only 21 loans. It seems the issue was caused by my tiny investment in the 30DAA (591 loans), total value less than 0.008p.

Hi. Following on from Stuart’s post on the 24th Feb in thread - p2pindependentforum.com/thread/16779/merging-unsellable-loans-personal-account, I am now able to confirm the good news that, even though ORCA Money (OM) are no longer able to support you with the operation of the Assetz Capital (AC) Account they created on your behalf, you will be able to have full access to it via the AC platform. This will allow you to make use of all the AC platform facilities including the ability to directly manage any invested funds. OM have informed us that they have already sent an email to account holders explaining their situation and highlighting that you need to contact AC directly in order that we can help set up full access to the account for you. If you haven’t already done so please contact us via Phone – 0800 470 0430, Opt 1, Email - enquiries@assetzcapital.co.uk or via the LiveChat button on the platform and a member of our Customer Service Team will be able to commence the process with you. In all instances the Customer Service Team Member will provide you with details of any proof of address and proof of Identity documents they need to receive from you and once obtained, they will contact you to complete the process and assist in helping you to set up Two Factor Authentication (2FA) on the account if required. For the foreseeable future the merging of OM Accounts into existing AC Accounts will not be possible, due to other higher priority platform enhancements, relevant to the majority of investors, taking precedent. But we do hope to be able to offer this facility in the future, even though we aren’t able to specify a timeframe. If you already have an AC Account, your former OM account will operate independently and become an additional AC account. Please make the Customer Service Team aware when you contact them if you already have an existing AC Account. Best regards. Martin Heelam Director of Investor Relationships
