Apologies if this is an idiotic question, but I note that some of the 5 year amounts are being paid back earlier than some of the access accounts. Is this because there is a fee earned by RS on 5 year accounts? If so, I guess it kind of makes sense but also makes a mockery of the word "access". E.g. I have a big chunk on 5 year which is going to hold up quite a few access accounts. I have both access and 5 year up for sale so seems like I might get 5 year back first.

No declared policy, but yeah the fee and also the average higher rate is clear motivation. Good for platform stability, good for 5 year investors, good-ish for those Access investors who make it anyway, not good for any that don't. Is about the size of it.

That, plus perhaps an opportunity for RS to wind up the 5Y market altogether. Which would be a shame, because IMHO the 1Y and 5Y products make a lot more sense going forward, especially from the point of view of making it clearer to lenders what they are getting in to.

My 5 Year RYI request made on the 15/03/20 @ 09:45 reference 376017 was finally paid out this afternoon. However, it is an outlier in the trend because, as I had reported earlier, it hadn't displayed in my requests list despite RS customer service staff assuring me it was in the queue.
Thanks to this forum and the information from members here I was alerted that I should pursue this with RateSetter again, and provided with some 'ammunition' to get them to look into the issue properly which they had failed to do. Fortunately an RS customer services manager did look into the situation and took it up with the technical team, there was indeed a 'glitch' with my requests. The manager telephoned me on Friday, informing me of the 'glitch' and that it would be fixed and I would receive the RYI today, which I did. So thanks to all, funds released, and withdrawal request made which will hopefully land in my bank account tomorrow.

Ref 373468, Access, requested 12th March, just (mostly) RYI’d today 20th April @ 15:31
About 4% failed to pull, not sure why yet, will probably be in arrears when I check. As far as I’m concerned, good result though.
Edit: None of it in arrears, but all of it sold now. Moral - for whatever reason, a small amount may be remaining to sell after they send you the email, but it likely will still sell within a day or so after that

I had the same problem, requested withdrawal for the Access and the 5 year on the 17th - 3 and only the access one showed when ratesetter updated the website to show request dates and numbers. I have been on the phone and they have confirmed it is a glitch and have given me the reference for the original 5 year request on the same date, thanks for highlighting this as I thought I had made a mistake and not requested it.
