Just done my weekly funds transfer out and loan performance review. Big increase in late payers a proportion of which will probably end up as more defaulters. Discounting all processing, late and defaulting as zero less whcih I agree is pessimistic, now looking at a -15% loss over 12 months. I use this approach because I only consider the net amount available to withdraw (IF I was allowed to withdraw it) as the real money left in the account, the rest being in the lap of the gods and FC's debt recovery programme.

Unless some helpful knight has a better move to offer. Not sure it's better, but it's an alternative. (Forum tables are such fickle beasts, I find.) With a line before and after the targeted text (makes life easier when typing before or after the targeted data), highlight that data and select 'Courier New' from the Font Face drop down menu. Then just add the desired number of spaces to get things aligned Date Processing Late Bad debt

I don't think it is pessimistic to discount defaulters to zero, although it depends on the loan vintage. For those loans issued a year either side of the IPO then zero, or maybe 5%, is right. Since last August, of my 50k or so of defaults, I had less than 1k recovered.

Thanks I will try using the table next time. I think I tend to use this FC forum to rant really just after checking how much worse my ISA has got so perhaps not minded to take too much care over presentation which is unhelpful to anyone following. Must try harder.
Looks like you have rumbled me. I wonder which of the chess players you are? In all seriousness, being tracked across multiple sites which can allow the wrong people to build up a profile is a bit of a worry, time for achange of nom de plume perhaps.

Since last August, of my 50k or so of defaults, I had less than 1k recovered. I agree with SS. The quality of the loan book, leading up to the IPO , has turned out to be awful. It looks clear that the management were so fixated on the prize of the IPO that they targeted growth over quality to a truly shocking extent. Of all of the management teams, of all of the platforms still running, they deserve the largest amount of criticism (actually a lot more than criticism) - they set out to enrich themselves , and the way they did it was pretty well guaranteed to make investors poorer. Plain straightforward spivvery. I suspect the default rate for the loans for th 12 months before the iPO and the next two quarters after the IPO to be stratospheric. We can all be critical of the managers of AC and RS, but I see no evidence that they acted in the same way.

A rant now and again is not a bad thing, but yes being able to see the figures makes it easier to empathise. Indeed a bit of variety in aliases is good policy, but rest easy if I was really looking to track somebody they would be the last to know.

Yes, or use something more generic. For example if I saw 'village idiot' being used on other forums I would not assume that they were all the same person, because there are so many villages which could be represented, each by a different idiot.

I like to think of it as the forum equivalent of being called Jones in Wales. Almost complete anonymity.
