A total of £275 winnings for me on a £30k holding. Pretty sure that's my best month to date, so I guess the increased payouts are beginning to spice things up a little..

£100. Which is more than a third of my 2022 winnings. Still can't help but feel that I'm getting shafted.

£50,000 November - £0
December - £125 January - £0
I am foregoing:
£50,000 @ 3% interest = £1500/12 = £125 per month.
Is this worth the candle or should I move?

I guess the first issue is whether or not you're a tax payer and at what rate; for me, as a 40% payer the case for PB's is strengthened. Secondly, how reliant are you on a predictable reliable monthly income? If so this moves the dial away from PB's. Finally are you prepared to potentially give up some earnings for the possibility you might hit the "Big" one or at least one of the larger prizes, the number of which has recently been increased. Oh, and of course, having some PB's gives you the right to post on this thread!

A few posts upthread, we found the current annual return for most with a full holding is likely to be around 2.4 - 2.7%. That compares well with the best of the instant access savings rates available and is, of course, tax free. Eg. Nationwide 2.5%, taxable. The NSI rate is effectively self-correcting. If they spot swathes of money moving elsewhere, they quickly adjust their rate to stem the flow and keep it competitive. Personally, I'm sticking with PBs for now (with the usual disclaimer that this is a personal choice and not advice to others).

anyone else having problems logging into their NS&I account at this time (08/01 15:40) ? No working fine (and still only showing £125 winnings for January).
