Again, this is a guideline as set out by the FCA that we have to follow to ensure that the product information is only made available to suitable investors.

The platform allows you to view and read the information on the investment product and request full brochures and information memorandums. You will only receive information from the products you select. We do not ever pass details to any other third party.

All companies undergo a vetting process before we list them.

We are in the process of partnering with a regulated company that have been registered for 30 years and FCA regulated with some very exciting things that will become available to all the Clever Investor members.

We understand that we may not always have listed the type of investments that all individuals are looking for, so we welcome you to contact us using the form on the site or email hello@cleverinvestors.co.uk with suggestions of types of investments sectors, types you would like to see. Our team will then seek these out and approach reputable companies to be listed (again, only once they have satisfied out vetting process).

Good luck to you. A lot of these investments seem super risky. Lending to a 'start up app', a 'gaming' bond, an 'avaiation' start up etc. Personally not for me, I would think that these investments fall into the so risky that the only potential way that the risk/reward stacks up is through taking an equity stake rather than debt. Also the minimum investments seem high.

Indeed, we are still working through company submissions as we want to offer more variety, so your feedback is very helpful, thank-you. Loan notes and start-up's are not for everybody, so we are working our way through listings to offer more variety. There is still high interest in these types of investments, and we always want people to remain informed and if in doubt, advice should be sought. The platform is still growing, and once our partnership is sealed, we will have far more products to be able to offer that cater to more than the start-up's and loan notes etc. Whilst we are awaiting regulation, we have to work within the guidelines set out by the FCA but are very much looking forward to the things in addition to just investments that we will be able to offer. Please would you elaborate on this point (my bold), specifically:

1. What is this vetting process i.e what parameters have been set that the companies are being vetted against and is there a separate vetting process for individual investment propositions (if applicable)
2. Who is undertaking the vetting process (person or corporate entity, let's call them the vetting agent)
3. How is that vetting agent qualified (professional qualifications, experience etc) to undertake the vetting process at company / proposition level
4. What is the vetting agent's relationship to your company i.e. are they commercially impartial (my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong please, is that you are an advertising portal and that your source of revenue comes solely from investment providers who pass the aforementioned vetting process)

Am I correct in assuming that your trading name was chosen in allusion to the benefits to investors of this process?

For me wouldn't touch these sorts of investments with a barge pole.
