I’m sure I read somewhere that it’s still 1.5% of the value released at actual time of release, rather than at time of quote which may have been many weeks since under current climate. I’m waiting for my 5 yr RYI of 18th March, should be this week or next hopefully!

I had an RYI from the 5YR market released earlier this month and the fee was indeed 1.5% of the released amount, not of the initial value when the request was made.

But 1.5% of the capital on loans returning a 6.0% (wasn't that hard to get that in the 5 year market even some months ago) is equivalent to 90 days of interest - less days if the interest is even higher than 6.0%.
