So a begruding thanks from me, and maybe others too, who were so p*ed off with LW and their product changes in January that they decided
to sell up and take the hit.
The "hit" being a mild slap compared to what was to follow. It also galvanised me to get out of RS, AC and Growthstreet (forsaking their intro bonus)
Of course no one could have predicted CV19, but, the signs were there that things were not looking healthy on all four of those platforms, and proves the adage "if you're gonna panic. panic early !"

Same here. Would have been significantly more stuck without that early prompt to significantly reduce holdings. Came out of LW with all but a few % returned and an XIRR of 3.61% on one account and 4.18% on the other (assuming the residual holdings are returned). But I am in profit even if they aren't.

In my view any thanks should be directed towards this forum for the invaluable discussion and insight which helped me to decide to significantly reduce my Holdings on LW. No thanks due to LW who merely did their utmost to muddy the waters further. So thank you forum!
Sadly I still have a sizeable amount tied up on LW so am crossing my fingers I eventually get most of it back.

Pulled the lot as soon as LW offered to buy lenders out due to t&c changes, been through these before on other platforms and it's always been a huge red get out quick flag as something terrible has gone wrong (RS & car loans was before LW). Got out scot-free, got some left in AC but it's all MLA so can get it if I discount it, I'm happy to leave it in and take the rough with the smooth.
Have to say thanks to LW as they paid me a referral bonus just a few weeks before I withdrew the lot so the t&c changes cost them a lot in my case. Personally I think they deserved it.

(Oh, and Ratesetter too if I recollect correctly).

Yes. Have to agree had almost 9k prior to his warning. Pulled it all out around this time last year. Otherwise may have still been in their today.
He is probably on lw naughty list because of this!

Agreed, dodged a bullet. Just got a bit left in bad debt now, mostly in one loan, shouldn't a year late count as a default?
