People may want to revisit their 'numbers for today' - a second chunk appears to have processed Mine (Access) is still the same - which market is this for? I've lost a few in Access but I'm a long way back so probably cancellations. Maybe someone has been reading my posts! But a goodly number gone from 5Y since I checked this morning. Damn! They had promised only to update once a day, which meant we could just check once a day - now we're going to have to be there every other minute!

I'm really hoping this is a one-off due to them fixing the progress bar... I really don't want to be refreshing frantically all day like my anxious brain will make me... Ugh

My Access reduced by 3, but I'm up in the 12,000 area. So likely 3 cancellations. Probably RYIs are updated once per day, but cancellations are as-and-when. Pure speculation of course. I suspect the same. My access ones have gone down by 2 since this 9am morning, and I'm on 6088/6093

Can't imagine there would have been 39 cancellations there.

I'm also glad my Spreadsheet is recording times as well as dates and fortunately I had the gumption to use date = previous date + 1 so I can hard code the date and not have to do messy corrections down the screen ... I say gumption it's something I do most of the time as its generally easier to control date changes.

Ugh I think you may be right they do seem to have fixed the progress bars for 1Y and the 5Y which were white up until this afternoon and now show my position better.

I wonder how many of these cancellations we think we're seeing in the queue position drops are actually full cancellations.
Based on what others have said on this forum, it seems that even when you reduce your RYI request you get a new queue number at the back of the queue. RS say this doesn't affect your queueing position in reality, but I wonder how this works with our queue position number. A chance, perhaps, that some of these cancellations are actually just partial reductions? If that were so, I suppose it would also mean that the queue was rather longer than our position number would lead us to believe...
(Just speculation based on quite how many cancellations seem to be happening)

My Numbers for last day ... Tue 10:15 Wed 08:50 ReductionE/D 5year 1030 1007 23---------------------------------------------------- ISA Access 13657 13652 5ISA 1year 984 984 0ISA 5year 1002 979 23Mrs Aju's numbers Tue 10:15 Wed 08:50 ReductionE/D Access 13796 13791 5E/D 5year 1031 1008 23---------------------------------------------------- ISA Access 13798 13793 5ISA 1year 999 999 0ISA 5year 1032 1009 23So the general thing I get from my numbers over the last day is the overall numbers fell as follows Access 5 1Y 0 5Y 23 whilst I don't have figures for all my accounts previously but my ISA for the 3 days from Sat 11/7 @ 14:42 to Tue 14/7 @ 10:15 the figures fell as follows Access 32 1Y 1 5Y 72 I will be monitoring my data daily from now to see if there is any thing that sticks out but I'm not sure if this is of any use to anyone else though. The further behind you are in the queue, the faster it will seem that the queue is moving because there will be a higher number of cancellations in front of you than someone who is near the front. So ideally you want to take data entry points from someone near the front of the queue if you just want to see how fast the queue is moving based entirely on money being released by RS. I'm happy to share my figures once I have enough data entry points. I'm curious johnt, just what do you mean by data entry points? Sadly I'm way at the back of the queue almost according to the figures in the other thread.

I'm happy to share my figures once I have enough data entry points. There's quite a bit of data posted here already, and I'm half hoping someone might start some number crunching soon. Perhaps a table collating RYI number; start QIF (queued in front of you); and weekly (think daily might be too much) decrease might be a useful chart to aide it? In which case I have a table that could be adapted Wonder if people would input though? <snip> (Just speculation based on quite how many cancellations seem to be happening) Not sure there are really that many, a couple among 5000+ RYI's is pretty insignificant really and there's a possibility they might also be the result of early repayments thus voids, although maybe less likely in access.

Hmmm... maybe, but the reports I've seen on here suggest slightly more than that (from a cursory glance, maybe more like 1 in 1000? Although, I've already had at least 2 or 3 cancellations below me and I'm below #300 in Access). But, more importantly, these are daily figures. Even if we're only seeing 0.1% cancellations each day, that adds up to quite a bit over the course of weeks and months. But perhaps this is only a recent trend and the queue position number really has encouraged people to cancel. I'll stop my musings now...
