In the past I have used the Firefox password facility (i.e. one master password to access all other saved passwords) for everything other then sites that are looking after my money. Not knowing anything about the technology I guessed that the security is on the light side and if my PC was stolen and got into the wrong hands it could be cracked. However as I did not use it for any financial sites I was not too worried about that. However I recently started to use the Norton 360 identity safe, this has the advantage that it works across all my PCs where I have N360 laoded and where I have entered my special "vault" password. First impressions are that it seems very good and I am inclined to trust the Norton security for encryption, transmission and storage of my passwords. However is it good enough to trust with my financial passwords Given that any system (including memory with advancing years) is falible, perhaps it could be the best and safest. Any views anyone?

Personally I don't trust anyone other than myself. Any third party storage system has store userids and passwords un-encrypted or in an easily decryptable form along with the decryption code so that they can be passed to site for which they are needed. Symantec have already had their Norton source code stolen once before and there is nothing to say it wont happen again or to other companies and who is to say that they will publicly admit in a timely fashion if it does happen. By financial sites to you mean e-commerce sites as well? The biggest problems my colleagues had was not with the financial services websites but with e-commerce sites that allowed logon credentials to be retained either through cookies or the browser, stored credit card/debit card/bank account details and allowed delivery addresses to be changed without password confirmation. Rather than risk taking this thread further off topic, I would suggest we post further security related discussion here

Will AssetzC be adding tax statement information to our account page soon? On our radar but not yet prioritised by the business.

Completely agree. It's likely to be prioritised in Q3 but may creep into Q2.

On our radar but not yet prioritised by the business. Also, any update on when we can have a facility to show interest accumulated & capital repaid for any specified period of time? Thanks

j - same as the previous answer. Q1 is stacked with a major new development that will be released late Q1 / early Q2. We then have a number of other priorities fighting for attention of which this facility is one of them. I'd like to give a definitive timeline but everything after our Q1 development is bound to be pretty fluid as the business is moving forward so quickly.

I should add that I'm basing all timings on the current resources at my disposal. As the business grows those resources will grow in proportion to it so hopefully I'll be able to get through our ever growing to do list a little more quickly than I'm currently committing to.

Who are you again? Sorry, couldn't resist I question I frequently ask myself. And what percentage of the time do you come up with the correct answer?

No idea as I can no longer remember what the correct answer is.

Bug needs fixing:
I presume the auctions listed on the Lend page should be in date order, with the next to go live at the top of the list. It's been that way in the past, but it isn't that way at the moment. There are three auctions due to go live tomorrow. The last to go is at the top of the list, followed by the first and then the second. This might be because the one at the top of the list used to be due to go live first, but has been re-scheduled. Or it might be because the system is working only on the date and not the time. Or it might be some other reason entirely.

"I can no longer remember what the correct answer is."
Brackers, I have been informed in many circumstances that the answer is likely to be 42.
