OK now I am starting to get even more hacked off because I am not making any significant headway into my access account. I have around 2,800 in there and after four months I have only managed to get around £300 out by checking daily, seeing what has not been reinvested already, making a withdrawal, repeat daily ad infinitum. My RYI number has barely moved either. I am sick of wasting so much time on this, at least with funding circle it does not reinvest. Now that RS has been bought by RS then you would think the access account reinvest setting could be deactivated.

I would have thought your successful 240K RYI from the 5 year would make 2,8K pretty much a 'free hit' and not worth getting overly worked up about? The chances of it lending out at 8% is fairly slim, so really once a week clear out would suffice.

I didn't know RS bought itself I've set my reinvestments at the highest rate and all of it ends up sitting "on market" (nothing gets reinvested), which I withdraw weekly. My withdrawals reduced my RS stake by approx 20% in the last 4 months, yours seems to be around 11% - I probably was more lucky with loan allocations???

Yeah I agree constantly logging in to withdraw is annoying but the alternative is RS to stop the auto reinvest option which will make RYI take infinitely longer than it already is! Unless of course they silently add the feature and the only people who notice are those logging in regularly to withdraw...

Shanghaiscouse joining in with a fictional story or the RYI didn't happen... or they invested again which doesn't seem likely

I think it was made in the context of an argument with our resident 'thin skinned big cat'. So may have mitigating circumstances.

I shall leave the pending losses for others to pick up What a great post you have found beagle, maybe he should change his name to Walter Mitty. Walter Mitty sounds fair here. normally i wouldn't care, I share the sentiment if anything, but if someone makes comments about things at least be truthful. I am not sure why anyone would keep active (after 3 months) or create a new thread, about settings if you had your money back and left a post in such a manner. Then to defend it when you clearly state differently "i shall leave the pending lossess for others to pick up" essentially meaning "I've got my cash, I'm off". So in this case I see it as either Shanghaiscouse didn't do what he said and is stuck or couldn't make it in the real world and created a little fiction to keep busy.

Well Cougar loves a new thread too I may even entitle my next one "Who really deserves the credit for 'finding' the post made by the one who seems to have been a bit economical with the truth?"
Darn it, can't find a way of inserting the words Metro or Bank in there. Back to the drawing board

Anyone who has had £240k returned should not be getting too worried about a couple of grand (equivalent to a few months interest on the main sum).
Given all the risks, and the fact I was a bit slow to withdraw, if I end up with 80-90% of what I've invested, I'll be a little miffed but on the whole pretty relieved. Even if you don't get any of the £2,800 back now, you would still have had at least 99% of your investment returned, a much much better position than most of us.
