*not a misprint Wounder will we see any other high street banks offer anything in the 8%+ range. Here I was thinking my nationwide reg saver was high. I'm glad I kept my Virgin account afterall, it's been collecting dust until now!

I wouldn't be overly concerned by that, it happened to me several times when I was opening multiple accounts back when it made sense to do that, usually an email after a couple of days with a link to complete the opening. I didn't have any problem on this occasion. I did decide to close some of the current accounts while I was visiting, that was much more hassle. Think I will just transfer to another bank as plan B for some of the others.

Mine were opened immediately. I’m glad VM have never consolidated their merger components, so I’ve ended up with 2 profiles. As a result I was able to open two regular savers. £500 a month at 10.38% is the best regular saver I’ve ever had😀

Ulster Bank dropping rate of Loyalty Saver from 14 October
£1 to £4,999 Old rate 2.25% new rate 2.00%
£5,000+ Old rate 5.20% new rate 4.75%
Guess this is to be expected.
Santander extending Easy Access Account (I believe you can't open one now) for 10 months, current rate 4% so obviously not worth putting money in at present.

Santander are like a collie dog who has a hold of the bottom of your trousers.
Question is can I be bothered to threaten them with the ombudsman about how I unknowingly managed to agree to all their uninteresting marketing emails and why their unsubscribe facility seems to be ineffective.
