Gatehouse Bank should come with a health warning. After one has filled in all the details, they request id (passport, driving licence, ...) and proof of address to be posted as originals or certified copies to them.

😅 I have to stop CHASing the chase liquidating money out instantly.
FPS is no longer instant for most of my recent transactions. Mostly pending.

I opened an account with them recently, had no requests for any additional material.

Clearly they reserve that requirement only for the dodgiest of applicsants

I hope FSCS protection will be increased soon. With this Govt ? Nope, More likely they'll allow banks to opt out or scrape it completely.

I see no reason for the government to scrap it as it is not funded by tax payers; it's nominally funded by the financial services companies, but in reality it is funded by investors and savers via charges.

Anyone else got a problem logging onto Zopa? Instead of displaying the dashboard it just says "Hi there LOL see what else we do" then adverts of loan and savings accounts. Checked just now. Works as normal for me.

Works as normal for me. Ahem. I was trying to do it on a PC, forgot it was app only now. Strange thing is you can log on OK, just don't see the dashboard. A hangover from p2p days I guess.

Smart Saver is app only but fixed savings do appear in the dashboard of the browser version of Zopa.

Thats a clever way to fund your business, open up a banking arm and borrow from savers. Its 50% cheaper than the borrowing from the financial markets
UK supermarkets did this about 20 years ago..
