I have an email address which has been used exclusively for communications with Lendy. Last night I received the second email from 'Sourced Capital', the first being on 2 October. Clearly my email address has been divulged by someone involved with Lendy or the administrators (or maybe The London Loan).
In the guff at the end there is reference to Rebuildingsociety.com Ltd where I have also invested in the past, but using a different exclusive email address.
I would be interested to learn if others have been similarly afflicted.

Yes, there are a couple of emails from Sourced Capital in my junk folder from 2nd and 4th Oct inviting me top a Roundtable event. Same email address that I used for Lendy, but I use the same one for a large number of P2P sites.

Do the Lendy Administrators ONLY have our personal data or do LB and other Lendy personnel have our data? Is there anyway to protect or reduce the data held by Administrators or Lendy personnel? Can we check with ICO?

Yes, I've had two e-mails regarding the Virtual Roundtable event - I've never heard of them and certainly did not sign up.
Outlook correctly and automatically flagged these as spam, but I generally check my spam folder as occasionally genuine e-mails get put there.

Can we check with ICO? Yes. The only entity in possession of your personal data should be 'Lendy Ltd (In Administration)'. If you even suspect that Lendy has disclosed your data to a 3rd party, you should immediately report it at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/your-personal-information-concerns/ .

If I remember correctly the email addresses of everyone involved in the London Loan were given to a firm of solicitors which wanted money on the off chance that we might need a defence.

I got the email, no Unsubcribe option on it that I could see which is against the law apparently:
"Letting customers opt out
Customers have the right to stop their information being used for direct marketing.
You must make it easy to opt out - for example by sending a ‘STOP’ text to a short number, or using an ‘unsubscribe’ link."
Also, whoever gave them our details should have asked our permission:
"You must also ask for their permission if you want to share their information with another organisation."

I think it suggests that the mailing list came from the platform (ie one of it's operators) directly.
