I deposited two cash amounts on 4th and 5th December. Both for the same amount. Only one seems to have been credited but both amounts have been taken from my bank account. I know there was a weekend in between then and now, but a BACS payment doesn't usually take this long to get credited. Is this situation unusual or should I start getting worried?

The process at the SS end is manual, and they have definiteley done a sweep in the past few days as one of mine seemed to take longer than usual (usual being within 24 hours for me) and I queried it. If I were you I would email them and get them to double check what's happened, because this is too long.
Often the problem lies with people not doing 'Step One' to pre-credit their account with the exact amounts for every corresponding deposit. If you've got a funding deficit showing, then that would indicate you did that, although you could check your statement to check the amounts were correct for each BACS transfer.

I did do a pre-credit on both and I've now emailed Tim to investigate.
