Is that the changes that the EU are about to propose?
Brexit: EU to make offer to end 'sausage wars'
Ah, the comedy value of Brexiteers complaining about the NI Protocol... Especially Frost, the man whose fingerprints are all over it. The only change between May's and Johnson's deal, and the whole reason the ERG delayed Brexit. Oven-ready, we were promised.

I have an array of solar panels on my roof so I export electricity that I don't use (despite my very best efforts) to the grid when the sun shines. As the price of electricity has significantly increased will my payments for my electricity increase? I am guessing like me you are on a fit based contract in which case you will get inflation rpi based until the end of the contract term, or until the goverment chooses to welsh on the deal like Spain. I have had my panels 7 years now and am in profit so ok and with a log burner and over 2 years supply of free full time heating logs in the store feeling a little smug. Just keep looking at battery backup but cannot see how the money stacks up yet, but will listen to anyones experiances out there.

What we need is a women's protest and a lot of frying pans to sort out these male dominated institutions playing their self-serving politics. Seems just as justifiable as glueing your arse to the M25 for home insulation ??

I have battery plus solar array and have just moved for the winter to a tariff which gives 4 hours import at 5p, but I get only 3p for export, will switch back when my system starts to produce my average daily usage. Right now I charge overnight at 5p so that saves me at least 15p per kwh so over 60p a day. The battery also cuts in when i'm doing things like washing during the day and the sun disappears behind the clouds, or the light level is not enough to produce the full amount used by devices. From mid March to late September, the system produces enough to fill the battery most days ( I imported 180kW 1st March to 30 September) which is about 0.9kWh a day. my export was 1900kWh or £225 during the same period. If you say March to September 40% of my usage would be when no generation then I'm saving for 200 days 2.4 kWh per day of import that's nearly 500kWh or £100 at current prices. Add that to 160 days at 60p over the winter another £96 so the battery will pay for itself in 5 years. Unfortunately I can't easily work out how much the battery saves during the day when it clouds over etc.

Where the hell are you trying to buy your lamb cutlets ? My local butcher, which is a) London prices and b) posh and expensive (but the meat is v good quality). I'll buy chicken, pork, some beef cuts etc from my local supermarket, but I never buy lamb there because it tastes of nothing. I ended up with a couple of lamb shanks at £9.95 a kilo.

British lamb cutlets - £39 / kilo. Where the hell are you trying to buy your lamb cutlets ? You could buy a whole sodding sheep for less... <edit> <goes to check> OK, maybe not quite. This year's spring lambs are going for high two-digit prices, on average and depending on weight, looking at our local livestock market prices... And that's in a form that's easy to take home, albeit with a little more prep required before cooking.

I mean you wouldn't find a dead lamb in the chilled section in Tescos.
