...wouldn't catch me in one of them things ... Why? Are you really fast? I was talking about the hang glider!  And, no - my boating is limited to 4mph by the Canal and Rivers Trust!

We are now in a position to confirm that the boat reported in the above press reports was indeed the boat used as security for the two powerboat loans. Despite press reports to the contrary, a spokesperson for the company (the borrower) has confirmed that no one has been seriously injured.
We are in discussion with the company, who has confirmed that the insurance assessor is already actively involved. As listed on the loan details the boat is fully insured for an amount considerably in excess of the debt and with a loss payable clause in our favour.
The company is now working through various scenarios, both operationally and financially. Key will be the time it takes to pay out the insurance proceeds, which is an unknown at this point. They have assured us that there will be no financial loss to our investors.
We remain confident that this incident will not impact investors’ capital or interest, although it may have an impact on the timing of payments. We will continue to update you as and when we hear anything.

I'm glad injuries don't seem to have turned out too badly, and things sound hopeful for the loan; a bit of better news to take into the weekend Seems like positive news, though it is odd the press coverage is apparently so inaccurate. He was seriously injured enough to be transported to Guys & St Thomas Hospital in London yesterday.

BBC South Today have said that the teenager has been released from hospital and will make a full recovery. Just in time for the new boat. |

Repaid. So all in all a positive outcome from a horrible situation. FS seem to have a sense of humour about it all - the new loan was listed in forthcoming as 'Antiques' Not the first word that springs to mind to describe it  |
