My name's Chris and I'm part of the team at Assetz Exchange. We’ve today launched the public beta of our new website after a successful private beta. We’ve spent the last few months hard at work developing a completely new website which we believe delivers a much improved experience for users. The beta is open to all existing users of Assetz Exchange who have passed both AML and bank verification checks at beta.assetzexchange.co.uk. Those who have not passed these checks can email us at helpdesk@assetzexchange.co.uk where we’ll be happy to assist in order to gain access. If you’re not yet registered with us, you’ll be able to access the beta once you’ve signed up and passed the checks mentioned above. This public beta represents the final stages of testing before we launch the site fully to the public. The new website makes it quicker and easier to find, retrieve and understand information regarding investments. A new feature we’ve implemented is how we display the investments, with the choice to toggle between grid view and list view – the latter providing a comprehensive overview of the investments in order to see more detailed information. Alongside the public beta launch, we’re implementing a Help Centre which provides information on Assetz Exchange and the new platform to assist users. It’s important to note that whilst all investments and trades made on the beta site are live, it is still a pre-production version of the website and we therefore expect users to encounter some bugs. We ask anyone testing the beta to report any bugs helpdesk@assetzexchange.co.uk. I know there are many experienced and knowledgeable investors who use the P2P Independent Forum and who provided invaluable feedback to Assetz Capital during the beta testing phases for their website, and we would very much appreciate the same. Any and all feedback is welcome as we try to build a great investment experience for users. Thanks

First impression is that the dashboard is extremely user unfriendly and contains lots unimportant stuff with links to the important stuff hidden away.
There are two big boxes devoted to IFISA which are irrelevant if you havent got one but hiding these just creates large areas of empty space. A massive graph on net revenue which is of little importance. Recent activity has 3 out of 4 boxes displaying nothing of great impotance. The ubiquitous pie chart which every platform seems to love but never warrants the prominence it is given.
Doesnt seem to be anyway to customise the dashboard to get rid of the useless stuff. If I hide it, it seems to come back if I leave the page
What I cant find without digging, is my portfolio of loans which surely warrants an obvious link on the dashboard, same is true of transactions
There also appears to be an issue with the site logging you out through inactivity as I am still logged in a hour later despite closing the page down
Can you also fix the transaction statement so that every payment isnt listed as interest even when it is a dividend?

First impression is that the dashboard is extremely user unfriendly and contains lots unimportant stuff with links to the important stuff hidden away. We have plans to evolve the Dashboard over time to create a series of widgets where the user can decide which types of information they want to see when they first log in. Can you give us more details of what you think is important and would like to see displayed here? Please note that similar to Assetz Capital, all portfolio and investment details can be accessed through the Exchange pages. We are working on a hotfix for the website which will save a user’s preferences if they hide a section on the Dashboard and hope to launch it soon. Regarding the net revenue per month, we’ve received lots of positive feedback on this and put it down to a question of personal preference. We want to implement various graph and chart options in this section and let users specify which ones they want to display. In the ‘Recent activity’ section, can you tell us what you think would be important to show here? In terms of the ‘donut’ chart at the top that breaks down the investments by account, we’d be happy to hear suggestions as to what you think would be better to replace it. Doesnt seem to be anyway to customise the dashboard to get rid of the useless stuff. If I hide it, it seems to come back if I leave the page As mentioned above we are in the process of implementing this functionality following your feedback. What I cant find without digging, is my portfolio of loans which surely warrants an obvious link on the dashboard, same is true of transactions Your portfolio can be viewed in the Exchange section. In list view, select the ‘Your investment’ column header (to sort by largest investment first) or simply click the ‘ My investments’ tab at the top in either list or grid view, which will show you only your investments. In list view the data can be sorted by various attributes by clicking the relevant column headers. Transactions can be viewed by clicking ‘ Reports’ and selecting ‘ Transactions’. There also appears to be an issue with the site logging you out through inactivity as I am still logged in a hour later despite closing the page down This is currently set to one hour. We are reducing it to 10 minutes and this will be released in the next couple of days. Can you also fix the transaction statement so that every payment isnt listed as interest even when it is a dividend? Strictly speaking all distributions are interest payments, just some are taxable as dividend income. This is valuable feedback though and a valid point; we will make a change to clearly flag distributions that are taxable as dividends. Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate it. Let us know if there are any other improvements we can make.

Can you give us more details of what you think is important and would like to see displayed here? Please note that similar to Assetz Capital, all portfolio and investment details can be accessed through the Exchange pages. On Assetz the transactions and loan holdings can also be accessed through the menus on the individual account boxes as well as the top menus so are much more easily accessible on the main dashboard There are two big boxes devoted to IFISA which are irrelevant if you havent got one but hiding these just creates large areas of empty space. A massive graph on net revenue which is of little importance. Recent activity has 3 out of 4 boxes displaying nothing of great impotance. The ubiquitous pie chart which every platform seems to love but never warrants the prominence it is given. That would improve things massively - Im not convinced a nice picture of a bloke reading an Ipad is particularly relevant and there is an even bigger open ISA box even further down... plenty of space at top for an open ISA button . Similarly there is link to help at the top so not sure a big box is necessary and the blog posts at the bottom similarly could be accessed just through a menu. None of this seems particularly relevant to a dashboard. I havent tried the site on a mobile but I suspect this is all stuff that will detract from the user experience. A general principle should be to eliminate unnecessary clutter which the AC site does. So yes customisable dashboard & remembering preferences ASAP. Also I note that you can look at standard or ISA account but not both, should this not be an option as with the AC site? In the ‘Recent activity’ section, can you tell us what you think would be important to show here? Cant really see anything being particularly important, a better use of the space would be recent transactions linking to the transactions page. In terms of the ‘donut’ chart at the top that breaks down the investments by account, we’d be happy to hear suggestions as to what you think would be better to replace it. Given it is a graphical representation of info that is in the boxes next to it seems redundant in current form (for me at least as it just a ring) I would be more interested in seeing a graphical indication of how my portfolio has performed. Doesnt seem to be anyway to customise the dashboard to get rid of the useless stuff. If I hide it, it seems to come back if I leave the page As mentioned above we are in the process of implementing this functionality following your feedback. In list view the data can be sorted by various attributes by clicking the relevant column headers. Transactions can be viewed by clicking ‘ Reports’ and selecting ‘ Transactions’. As I said above, I think this should be directly accessible as well. Also is it possible to make the top menus frozen so they are available as you scroll done the page? Also why dont the top menus have drop down to access the sub pages directly, rather than having to go to the page and then pick the required tab? There also appears to be an issue with the site logging you out through inactivity as I am still logged in a hour later despite closing the page down This is currently set to one hour. We are reducing it to 10 minutes and this will be released in the next couple of days. Timeout isnt working at all, still logged in 4 hours later. Seem to recall this was an issue on the old site - stayed logged in for hours if not days. Thanks. A lot of people download transactions directly into spreadsheets to manage their investments and potential tax liabilities so I think it is important that the terminology is clear & accurate. Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate it. Let us know if there are any other improvements we can make. Thanks for the response.
