Yesterday a largish portion (6%) of my 5yr money on the ED account repaid early, followed by a similar but even larger amount today.
Anyone else experienced similar?

I'm sure you were joking, but I thought that beagle might have been referring to the shares markets uptick that might make people more likely to settle debts ahead perhaps. Who knows though as the uk markets I'm usually looking at did shoot up on vaccine sentiments but they can just as easily drop back again and just as quickly too.

Yes, I think current values are much too high given where we are ie companies still folding, tiers for a few months yet and Brexit still to be agreed.

A further three early repayments over the last couple of days. Approx. 5% of my outstanding lent in ED. Funds transferred to ISA.
At this rate it's not looking too good for shanghaiscouse's predictions of a capital loss for me

Yes I've had 75% of my 5yr investments paid back within 2 weeks. Because Metro Bank can borrow at bank base rate rather than the 5% I was receiving I think they are cutting the high interest earners loose. They're not interested in investors that earn decent returns, even with the 50% reduction at the moment. They can make sizable profits if they use other funds to lend with.

A further 8% or so of my ED 5yr money repaid early today and even a small amount in my ISA, enabling me to make another sizeable withdrawal.
83.5% of my total investment into RS has now been returned (No RYIs, all from borrower repayments) plus I've currently left a further approx. 1.5% in my ISA Holding A/c.
