I have just had a complaint dated 14th April 21 allocated to an investigator. Despite the fact that the complaints are supposed to be looked at in date order I have 3 from March 21 which have not been allocated.
I wondered if anyone has outstanding P2P complaints older than March 21? Does anyone have newer complaints than April 21 that have already been allocated?
On a similar note, I have been waiting for a complaint to be reviewed by an Ombudsman since July 2020. I wondered if anyone has had newer complaints than that looked at by an Ombudsman?

It's surprising to find that Complaints from April '21 was allocated so quickly. Mine from Mar '20 was allocated in Mar '21 & then the Investigator is on long term sick leave. Another from June'20 is in progress. Generally 10 months before an investigator is assigned.

I agree that the time to allocation has improved, but my point really was that they missed the older ones. If I'd only had one complaint I would be none the wiser that they are looking at April complaints and had missed March. They make a big deal of looking at complaints in date order which is not happening. I was wondering if the complaints waiting for an ombudsman were also happening in a random order.

Agree. Yes, the Complaints waiting for an Ombudsman would depend on a different Queue (I was told earlier that they have different Ombudsmen who look after separate Teams, so varies by the Team that the investigator belongs to). My guess would be anothe 9 - 12 months at least, by when the Firm might go into Administration (that's what they are hoping for).

I requested Andy Agathangelou of APPG to pressurise Ombudsman too and he has agreed to do a symposium next year entitled “Is the FOS Fit for Purpose?” I'd request everyone to write to Andy re doing a symposium / putting some pressure on Ombudsman (FOS) too. Although he has already agreed, but if more people request it, better it is and he'd probably do it sooner than later.

So I complained to the FO about the way they have mismanaged my complaints and they have held their hands up to total incompetence and offered me £250....... Who knew!

Noticed this one today. "Money & Co accepted Mr H was overcharged fees on the interest he earned on his account. It said this was due to a rounding error in its systems for smaller holdings. It worked out that Mr H had been overcharged by £0.19 in the period since he opened his account and credited this amount back to him...... "
I thought some of my complaints were small due to the nature of P2P, but 19p, which they had already paid back and given £10 comp for. He won with the investigator and got another £40, but he took it all the way to the Ombudsman.
Oh man!
