However does not mention "recoveries expert".
AC on the other-hand have always trumpeted the skills and experience that they claim they are able to deploy when things go wrong. Currently they are being tested on seven loans all of which I have invested in, so I am more than casually interested in finding out if their CV's stand up.
Only seven?? I've just taken a look at AC's list of active loans and see about twice that many which either have not paid back at the expected maturity, or are seriously behind in their repayments. Yes, only seven but I am aware of other "problem children" which I dumped some time back.

Currently they are being tested on seven loans all of which I have invested in... ... I took you to mean AC had a total of seven problem loans and that you had invested in all of them.

Had invested in about forty at one time but am now just left with seven which are suspended from trading, otherwise I would have dumped them as well.
I wonder if my comment will bring forth howls of derision from the more saintly members of this forum? The reason I say this is that I made a similar statement previously and got bawled out as though I was committing a criminal act. All I was doing was making a judgement that a particular loan was likely to go duff (which it did eventually) and I sold it before it did. I call my action "good Judgement" and in my opinion if you don't have at least some of that you should not be dabbling in P2P.

No howls from this neck of the woods merlin. A man after my own heart then. I always work under the principle of "Buyer Beware" in buying and selling. However I never try to set out to deceive or mislead except when I am playing poker and P2P can be a bit like poker at times!

I never read you being bawled out merlin - although could easily have missed it . Like all of us you must use your best judgement for better or worse - it really is that simple. I always do my own DD on loans being offered, especially with (where possible) the borrowing individuals which has on the odd occasion thrown up some not very desirable history IMO. Others obviously feel differently hence the loans tend to get filled. So it's your funds and your prerogative where you place them.

If others agree or disagree then that's their prerogative. The same applies to voicing your opinion. As long as you do it in the proper manner, which you have IMO, you're entitled to do that too
