PBL145 - 9.99996% has appeared...
If I miss the poll, whether I will be participating in PBL145 - 9.99996%, the answer will be no... An interesting rate, but not necessarily for an interesting reason.
10% on a 50% LTV makes slightly more sense then PBL144 even though 144 is probably more certain in value.
Looking at the SS portfolio I wonder: is the whole of the UK reverting to student life? Who will do the work? No... don't start on that one.

You make an interesting point, in that maybe the Saving Stream loan book, is too weighted towards student accommodation... I did get a chance to vote no this time!

I did get a chance to vote no this time! 4% of my total P2P portfolio, spread over two platforms, is to student accommodation projects from one borrower. (Plus similar projects from other borrowers.) These look like decent loans to me, but I'm wondering why the borrower can't borrow more cheaply elsewhere. I think I'm looking to redeploy some of that money.

Reports last week of widespread student rent strikes - the boom in student accommodation has sort of assumed there is no limit to what students can pay. And many further education establishments are struggling with gaining European funding since the Brexit vote. Jack P

Does anyone have any idea what proportion of uni students in the UK come from other EU countries? Is that likely to change significantly after Brexit?

And many further education establishments are struggling with gaining European funding since the Brexit vote. Does anyone have any idea what proportion of uni students in the UK come from other EU countries? Is that likely to change significantly after Brexit? Figures for 2014/5 are 125,000 from the EU ex UK and 300,000 from outside the EU. Figures for new entrants to higher education for 2015 are 465,000 UK, 30,000 EU ex UK and 40,000 outside the EU. I think the discrepancies between the two sets of numbers is due to the second set being for undergraduates, and the first including postgraduate degree courses. (You would multiply the second set by 3.x to get numbers comparable with the first set.)

Norfolk:
Strength - location; weakness - no nearby services.

Tranche 2 - DFL005 has appeared on the pipeline > £1,095,226 Is that the size of the 2nd tranche or the total funding to date if the former what have they done to increase the value of the asset from the original £1.5mln by over a £1mln to keep the LTV below 70% ?
Also I can't open the updated valuation report !

If SS are following the most recent precedent, then that is the size of tranche (so the loan will increase to £1,712,099) No VR ATM - I have dropped them an e-mail
