I'm trying to figure out who invest in Peer to peer platforms.
The majority are sophisticated investors? Ordinary people? People that come with a financial background?
Are you familiar with relevant research?
or, do you know where can I find the answers to these questions?
Thanks,
Roni.

Hi roni88 Nesta released a UK wide report on the alternative finance sector a couple of months ago with a specific section on consumer P2P - www.nesta.org.uk/sites/default/files/understanding-alternative-finance-2014.pdf Hope this is of use as it provides details on reasons for investing and typical amounts lent. Most lenders tend to be everyday savvy people who are fed up with the banks rather than sophisticated investors, although I am sure there are a few of those too who use the UK platforms. Mat
