I recently wrote here about unwanted emails from Onstep.
Despite FIVE very clear requests to them to stop, I am still receiving them. I have no recollection of contacting them: I did register with Unbolted,[1] (although I have no investments with Unbolted).
there is an email address for complaints, but all my attempts to send an email there, are immediately rejected with the message: "This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address failed: complaints@onstep.co: "
In contrast, my emails to the address on the unwanted emails are not bounced (just ignored!)
Their emails have no telephone number and I cannot see one on its website. I tried phoning Unbolted several times today, but it's always on an answerphone.
Anyone have any idea of how to contact Onstep direct as this is ridiculous.
David

OnStep Contact FormThe couple of emails I've had from them had 'Unsubscribe from this list' links.

The entry at the end of the latest email just says;
"OnStep is a trading name of Open Access Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), with permissions to operate an electronic system in relation to lending under firm reference number 741896. Its registered office is at Token House, 11-12 Token House Yard, London EC2R 7AS. Visit us: www.onstep.co | Email us: customer.care@onstep.co "
No 'unsubscribe' option.
And the 'customercare' email address given here is the one to which I have written and requested they stop emailing me, but this is ignored. I find it incredible that the complaints email address, given in its website, is of no use.

In your original post the email looks wrong, shouldn't be anything after 'onstep.co'.
Try :-
customer.care@onstep.co
or :-
support@unbolted.com

The colon after onstep.co was part of the server's return message to me.
I sent the email to: complaints@onstep.co As detailed on the complaints page: but as I say, it was bounced.
(Incidentally, the customer.care@onstep.co address is the one I wrote to, but the emails kept coming.)
The good news is that by writing to Unbolted, I have now received confirmation I've been removed from onstep's mailing list. Nonetheless, this amount of emailing shouldn't be necessary in the first place. Very irritating!
Cheers

In that sort of case my approach might have been to email requesting removal from mailing lists and their database and for confirmation that it has been actioned.
If that's ignored I'd send another stating at the top that it needs to be brought to the attention of their Data Controller and that if it's not been actioned within a reasonable time (7 or 14 days) it will be raised with the FCA and Information Commissioner. If I'm not confident in them dealing with it via email I might also send the same via registered post.
If that failed I would then raise with the ICO and FCA with detailed account of what's been received and how and when I'd requested removal.

(1)I wrote several emails requesting that no more emailings were sent. (2)When that didn't work, I wrote FAO the Manager: again, that didn't work. (3)As the emailings continued, there seemed no point in writing to a 'Data Controller'. (4)I contacted the ICO but was told that no action would be taken in an individual case, although the information given would be kept for "intelligence"(!) In other words, useless. (5)It was only when I emailed Unblocked that I was told I would be removed from Onstep's mailing list. (6)Apart from the irritation, and my email requests being ignored, as anyone, I take exception to having my time wasted in this manner. Emails ignored, no 'unsubscribe' option, and from what I could see, no telephone number, made it a time-wasting exercise. And I certainly fail to see why I should have to spend both time and money on sending Registered post.
On the general subject of unsolicited mail, perhaps people should consider legal action when annoyed by unwanted emails? www.theregister.com/2006/01/06/spam_court_media_logistics/
