Lets start this post with the caveat "I may have lost my marbles.....but"
Yesterday I sold @£340 of one loan on the aftermarket.
Now I can't remember lowering my target and my 'comprehensive' spreadsheet doesn't have a 'note to sell' . This is not a loan that I have any current concerns about - I have been buying 'shrapnel' of this loan on the aftermarket with my last purchase on 9/12
My 'Investment Target' states £x and after the sale my target and my holding tally.
Accepting that the 'sale order' could have been made at any time after 9/12 (units then sticking on the aftermarket) is there anyway I can see when the 'sale order'/lowering of my target was made?
I like to keep my marbles well corralled and I have a feeling the wall has been breached ......

I think it would be useful if there was a way to see a log of activity on a particular loan: sales / purchases / change of targets / repayments etc, with a date and time. This would be useful in checking what has happened to a particular loan. This activity log could even note when an update has been made. Perhaps something chris could add to the wish-list please?

I spotted yesterday that I had some odd targets/holdings, particularly with regard to one loan. And this wasn't due to the effects of amortising etc, it looked like a sale I hadn't asked for had happened. However I dind't have the time to dig into more deeply.

Something strange went on with the G**** D*** B***** loan just before it repaid. I apparently had holdings of £1+ more than my target (and more than my actual £10 investment) although when the loan was repaid I got £9.99999*** and the two lots of interest as discussed elsewhere. Love those roundings.

In defence of your marbles ( duck) - any chance ( duck, bracknellboy) that it was one of the loans where trading had been suspended in December due to AC making mistakes in assigning borrower payments? If so, is it possible the target was set already but had been neutralised by the suspension; until re-activated when the suspension was lifted recently? Actually, I did notice that I picked up larger than usual sized shrapnel of these around the time the suspension lifted...

I think you are spot on there veronicae, it was certainly one of those loans and the sale took place when the 'problem' was sorted. My 'new' holding is identical to a previous limit. Now the only outstanding question (that I don't think can be solved since nothing shows on my records) is did the sale take place because the system reverted to previously set limits or did I raise the limit and then lower it back again ......

Now it's my turn to question the whereabouts of my marbles... What happened to me today was on Loan #121. Some time ago I had tried to sell some of my holding of that loan and was successful for the most part. When the dust settled, I was left with a target of £100 and a holding of £100.54. And that's the way it sat for what probably was a few weeks. (I can't tell exactly without searching through pages and pages of statements.) I thought that perhaps the last 54p didn't sell because it was less than £1, but I wasn't concerned, so I didn't think about it any further. Until now. Because today AutoInvest sold the 54p I wanted to sell -- along with the rest of my holding! Actually, considering that I'm now left with a £100 target and a holding of nil, I'm pretty well convinced that my sanity is intact and the problem is in the system. chris: I'd appreciate it if you could look into this, though I appreciate from another thread that you're tied up right now so it could be a few days before you get a chance to do any digging.

Now it's my turn to question the whereabouts of my marbles... Don't forget to send the bug report by email too, so they can quietly drop it on the floor and ignore it in private as well as in public!

If you think you've been affected by unauthorised sales please can you email details to enquiries@assetzcapital.co.uk so we can investigate further. Many thanks.

Colin, thanks for your post. I still think my 'unexpected sales' were probably a result of one of my marbles escaping so I will not be forwarding any details ... but thanks.
What I am highlighting is that in spite of keeping comprehensive spreadsheets it is easy to make a mistake/miss jotting something down. With my loan books (personal and business) now covering just over 100 loans (and hopefully increasing soon) the absence of any activity log makes back tracking close to impossible for me. Couple this with aftermarket action being suspended at times for various reasons and I suspect that I will not be the last to experience this sort of 'unexpected sale' (obviously assuming user error for these sales rather than systems error).
Whilst I have no idea of the impact/workload that a downloadable activity log would cause, in the long run it might well save time and effort for the hard working Assetz 'investigations' staff. From a personal point of view it would be a very useful 'document' to help keep track of a growing loan book.
