The first was at 8.59, and when I went on to the site there was around £5k left. I then received another at 9.59, when presumably it would have been too late.

This seems to be filling fairly slowly, is that a reaction to the default, lenders putting less in? Or is there something wrong with this loan? Or just low funds after Christmas?

Not sure - it's quite a large sum, and a lower rate than the last couple. That won't help. The default came before the last loan - and that was filled quickly.

Could it be because it is too large for this platform? I recall there was one of a similar value and it took very long time to fill. I observed the same happens on Rebs. Most loans are in the area of 50k, when something like 200k comes in the filling process takes much longer than normal. I've noticed that most investors put the same amount in every loan, no matter how large the loan is.

I seem to remember there have been other loans that haven't reached target in the past, Qardus just lowered the minimum so it looked like they had reached the minimum target.
