Going to hop one of my accounts again. NatWest offering 200. I am on course to make 1000 this year from account hopping. The accounts have all be in my name so my wife can swap accounts next time these crazy offers return. Just got another free 175 from Halifax taking me up to nearly 1500 that I have squeezed out the banks this year for free. If everyone did this it could save the economy from recession and boost the country's GDP by tens of billions. Not possible! Along with many others, my partner and I are excluded from this offer because we've both received a earlier Halifax bonus in the time since April 2020 - so maybe every five years or so? And the same applies to all the recent bank "bribes" from NatWest/RBS, Coop, HSBC, Santander, etc.

I've received 2 switch bonuses from Halifax in the past. At this moment I'm excluded from all currently available bonuses from banks.

I started to record when we took out the last round of freebies and we also have a while to wait. I'm sure they probably don;t monitor it meticulously but my time is too precious to be r'sed trying to game them and then being knocked back. To be fair the rates are much better than they used to be on saving accounts that far outweighs the bungs for changing accounts - assuming you can get away with it that is. Mind you I can see that the time may come for the rates to tank again but Mrs Aju will be taxed soon so we are probably going to have to rethink who has the better tax relief ... I'm still trying to figure out whether to pass Mrs aju's allowance back. She starts her state pension sometime near the end of may. The maths involved after watching Mr Lewis seemed to be a tad more complex than just passing it back to her. (My head hurts just contemplating it ;-)
