Another debenture M** S**** being repaid early due to change of ownership. 'Independent valuer' assigning values well below those in the secondary market and not even sufficient to meet initial IRR. I do wonder if companies are deliberately triggering these change of ownership clauses to reduce the interest payments and refinance with cheaper debt (where they now have track record to show the project is successful). It's not clear what qualifications these independent valuers have!

This has happened to me before, a geothermal project. The returns were not as good as hoped and I felt a bit salty. There was another one as well which changed owners and they brought out the Debenture holders - included an extra year's worth of interest and I was very happy with that. I suppose it depends on the TsandCs, but you'd hope that Abundance are on top of this as it sends the wrong signal to investors (heads I will, tails you lose(
