I keep a notional manual (though probably closer to reality than I'd like ) portfolio. It comprises 'living' platforms where I only have deeply distressed/defaulted loans left, and dead platforms. Recoveries for the past 3 calendar years (up to today) are as follows: 2020 14.65% 2021 7.36% 2022 1.41% The direction of travel reflects the advent of punters going legal and the ensuing abject loss of nerve displayed by platforms and Administrators. Whilst there are hopes for some 2023 recoveries, until they occur they're just talk. Will revisit in a year.

Seems a good thread place as any. No wonder we have to wait years to get our money back. Is this the biggest factor though ?

Oh no wait, the majority of it was write-offs from AC. Let's see what 2024 brings.
