I have Adblock Plus, though this doesn't stop the odd pop-up advert here on P2P. Currently there's one for childrenheroes.org/ inviting donations for children who've lost "one or both parents during the Russian war in Ukraine". A worthy cause, and it seems genuine, but it appears to be American. I didn't explore further, and I suppose that it's possible for someone here in the UK to donate.
I guess that Proboards is a US organisation, hence it taking an advert for a US company?
Not complaining, just commenting. I prefer to donate to UK-registered charities, with the Gift Aid benefits for both donor and donatee.

At one point, the net kept feeding me ads related to women from Ukraine.
Thanks goodness no more ads seen in the forum now.

I can't recall seeing this before, and confess that only recently was I aware of the adverts.
Just before Christmas, I reset my PC and re-installed various programs, including AdBlock Plus, and have noticed subtle changes in how some operate.
(To my surprise, the reset went well, though I'm still tweaking. The biggest challenge was adding a specific font to Windows - and thence to my word-processing program - which seemed to be more complicated than it was a few years back - or perhaps I've become denser.)
