Showing on Southwark Crown Court listings (ironically the site is shown as not secure!) Court 12 T20220056 ANDREW CURRIE PETER CURRIE For Trial - Case adjourned until 00:00 - 11:35 This trial does not seem to have continued after todays lunch break. I can't wait to hear the reasons why? It was a lovely day out and the pub round the corner offering doubles at the price of a single?

I'll publish the report when I receive it but I understand a completely different case was listed before the same judge from 2pm. The trial is listed to resume at 10.30am on Monday.

Monday update: The jury heard from two witnesses at the FCA. One is a legal technical specialist, William Walsh, who outlined how the regulatory framework operates and what counts as ‘peer to peer’ lending vs a collective investment scheme in the eyes of the regulator.
Walsh was cross examined by defence barristers.
We then had a Mr Cooper from the FCA, who was on the stand all afternoon, being asked about the regulator’s approach. It is expected he will continue his evidence this morning.
Reporting note It does take some time to transcribe some very length notes from these hearings. The reports from last Wed and Thurs will be republished soon, containing far more detail. I have been told 'mid-week' for yesterdays report. I hope from Friday's report you can see the level of detail that we're able to produce.
P2PFinanceNews For the avoidance of doubt, P2PFN have not contributed to the fundraising efforts and did not seek permission to steal content from my website for their article published yesterday.

You really couldn't make it up! The FCA oblivious to what was taking place within its regulatory remit. Andrew Baily asleep at the helm....again!

Reporting of the trial is vital. Only the crowdfunding can make it possible. Every day counts. www.gofundme.com/f/fca-v-currieAs you may know, the reporting is by professional journalists, who have to be paid for their work. Further detail will be added to the reports already made. Many thanks to Mousey for all the hard work put into organising this. If anyone reading this has not donated so far, please think seriously whether you could make a contribution now. To those who have contributed already, please consider whether you could add to it. Let's make this happen. Thank you.

Todays coverage: " Collateral directors took £763k out of company after FCA identified breach, jury told" Collateral paid director Andrew Currie's girlfriend's company £275,000 just before the company went into administration which led to purchases of properties in Lancashire and Spain, a court heard. Next Week
Following some very kind donations I have now underwritten the costs of covering the third week. More money coming in will enable more of the trial to be covered. Monday is a bank holiday and I understand the court will not be sitting on Tuesday. *Please refrain from commentary while proceedings are considered active.*

I've just made a £35 donation to this good cause (via 'GoFundMe').
Can I encourage as many people as possible to also make a donation? Alas I lost out when Collateral collapsed. And - by the way - my thanks to Mousey ('Mouse in the Court') for all his continuing good work. I just bunged in some cash too.

I've also added a few quid to the pot, although doing so seems like a masochistic act because it's painful reading.
