Once an FPA has been implemented and its holder has satisfied banks etc that (s)he is entitled to administer accounts, can (s)he use the existing passwords (if they have them)?
And presumably the holder will have to "register" the device they are using to manage the account and arrange new 2-step verification, involving their own phone and/or email address. (I'm thinking as I type, and this has only just occurred to me.)
I fear suspect that organisations may have different rules, not to mention different levels of efficiency in accepting the Power. (Cue for horror stories.)
Still thinking as I type: I suppose that a solicitor or accountant managing a person's finances would access them in the same way as would a private individual holding the power?
(No more typing, so no more thinking.)

Moneybox had an item on this last night, if the FPA is "lack of mental capacity", then at least one will not allow Online access or opening etc of accounts online. In the specific case mentioned it was an online only account the person wanted to put his mums money in to get more interest, and because of the FPA, they blocked online, and this particular account can only be opened online
