A month ago both of my Unbolted accounts (roughly equal in size) had unallocated cash of about 6%. I decided to experiment by adding £1k cash to the ISA account. That took the unallocated cash in that account to around 16%. Since we know that, all other things being equal, accounts with larger cash balances get larger allocations to loans, I wondered how long it would take for the extra cash to be allocated.
One month later, the ISA account has 6.9% unallocated cash and the standard account has 5.4% unallocated cash. So, the vast majority of that extra deposit has now been allocated.
Once the unallocated balances are within 0.5% of each other I'll add some more cash to the ISA account.

The unallocated cash on my two Unbolted accounts are both around 5% now. I've added another £500 to the ISA account to see how those funds get taken up.

Tried that, left a few weeks and just withdrew again.

If seems to be working for me. It took about 6 weeks for the last £1k I added to be invested.

7.7% idle. It's been worse. Could be better. Still a reasonable return.

7.7% idle. It's been worse. Could be better. Still a reasonable return. Mine is currently 3.5%, I might need to make another withdrawal soon, I prefer to keep it under 3%. I've added a small amount at the beginning of this month because my cash balance was below my preferred amount. It was my first deposit since 30th June 2023.

I had some large repayments from watch collections today. Cash on both accounts went up by around £1k. Will be interesting to see how long it takes to redeploy.

I'm guessing I was invested in a lot of watches. Idle cash now at 11.51%. Hopefully my "high" balance should get me invested in some new loans.

Maybe I'm giving watches a bad "wrap". I've a got few late loans and I need to check out the security items.

Uninvested cash in both of my accounts has reduced to roughly 1% of the balance today due to a new, very large, loan of £380k on a couple of expensive paintings. Time to add some more funds to my ISA account.
