Which footballer could you kiss ,on the mouth? (The only name that springs to mind is Stanley Matthews, as its the only one I can remember.) No,not really... He's been dead 23 years, so probably not the best good health choice.

To quote 'Hot Chocolate' Started with a kiss Never thought it would come to this Maybe I am watching the wrong kind of news (Sky sports). but Spain seems to be going into some sort of meltdown. A Mother locking herself in a Church and going on hunger strike seems to be causing a lot of concern (Given its only half a day so far, think that's technically skipping a meal) At first sight it does seem a bit of a carry on for a single kiss. However, it appears to be the old watergate problem - it's not the original offence that gets you into deep trouble, it's trying to cover it up. Clearly there are deep rooted sexism issues in the Spanish football federation, so I guess it's a question of how many will go along with El Presidente.

It does seem to have spun out of control and become a bit of a tsunami in a world cup. Quite why the UK news has become so dominated by it is beyond me. I do hope that Hermoso has been completely truthful in everything she has said, 'cos even a small deviation from reality could badly backfire; when clearly the idiot in this is some entitled male at the top of a chauvanistic pyramid that felt it was OK to plant one on the lips of one of his employees. Bit of a shame for the team: they should be celebrating their achievement, not getting bogged down in this.

I see that Mason Greenwood has signed up (on loan) for a Spanish Club. In the light of recent events, that seems particularly appropriate.

I see that Mason Greenwood has signed up (on loan) for a Spanish Club. In the light of recent events, that seems particularly appropriate.
I'm not a big football fan, but looking at media comments regarding Greenwood:
- he has a major problem with authority
- he is immature (once described as 17 going on 14)
- he has poor interpersonal skills
During covid times Greenwood travelled to Iceland with the England football team, but was subsequently dropped (along with Phil Foden) for leaving the team bubble to get jiggy with a couple of floozies. When interviewed by the media one of the girls said that Foden did all the chatting up, and Greenwood sat in silence in the corner of her hotel room. It was also reported that during the flight to and from Iceland Greenwood said virtually nothing to any of his team mates.
It is said that Greenwood is an exceptionally talented player, although he obviously has a number of mental issues. I wonder if moving away from his family and playing in a country where he cannot speak the language is in his best interests.

Talented or not if he has mental issues then maybe a life in the public eye is not in his personal best interests anywhere no matter how much he can earn from it.
