all for a small win
nipped into Wilkos today to get some bits, they didn't have what I wanted and shelves seem a bit empty, But I do read they are in a bit of a financial mess and could go under. I do hope not they often have bits and pieces I need.
Anyway big sign on seeds "ALL SEEDS 70% OFF" so I picked some up avoiding those I know won't be viable next year ( Parsnips etc ).
Get to checkout and some go through at 70% off some at full price.
So I asked could it be checked as it did say all, Cashier goes and checks and comes back with a manager, who opens up the price override so she can discount them, cashier starts to correct prices one at a time, and the manager tells her no don't do that just take 70% off the total.
Durr £2 with 70% off = 60p take another 70% off comes out at 18P. so the discount I got on some was 91%.
I suppose with a queue it's quicker to take the hit than annoy customers waiting in line.
