I've never been a fan of the likes of facebook, twitter and TikTok, and could never understand why people who use these platforms are often unaccountable for their actions.
There has been alot of publicity recently about a court case involving a mother of ethnic origin whos daughter was a TikTok influencer. The mother was having an affair with a younger man, and when he threatened to expose this the mother, daughter and some friend killed the young man by ramming his car off the road. It appears that part of the organisation was carried out via TikTok messages.
4 people were given life sentences, but the thing that struck me was the judges comment to the daughter that '"Your fame through your career as an influencer has made you utterly self-obsessed with a wholly unjust sense of self-entitledness,"

Reading the story, so self centred she even tells her father to "call me" as she's taken down, anyone would think she expects to keep her phone, or that she will get a private line in her cell
