My partner stopped off in London on the way home from our European jaunt to see her son and her new granddaughter.
On Tuesday morning she got the news that one of the ladies we'd been with over the weekend had been killed in an accident ( I believe her bike was hit by a car )
on Thursday when coming home she decided her money, passport etc were safer in her suitcase than her handbag, her case was stolen whilst she was on the train. The irony being I'd given her some of my money for safety as I had rather a lot of cash.
Yesterday the fitters arrived with her new bedroom carpet which they laid out and it was 20cm short, fortunately it was measured by the carpet company so their issue to sort, but it's not a stocked carpet so has to be ordered in.
