Windows 11 was updated in the early hours of 11 November. Both my computers (with different model printers) stopped being able to print, although the print queue emptied.
Re-installing drivers, running Troubleshooter and rolling back the update did not fix it. It happened a week after my option to revert to Windows 10 expired. Reversion is now more difficult.
Since then I have heard four friends have the same basic problem, but with different symptoms. If you have Windows 10 then I suggest you stay with it.

W10 to W11 has been seamless for me, on 3 different machines (my laptop, my wife's laptop, and my father's tower/desktop (sometime back, obviously)). I was cautious about doing it, and consequently did it on my machine first, but found it least problematic update I've ever done. Like zero issues. Sorry to hear of your problems.

I've been struggling to get some updates to .NET which seem to be required by my HP printer to install on windows 10 so I updated to 11 and all seems OK now.
Oh apart from it seems to have deactivated my Office and won't reactivate

Ended up deleting and reinstalling it, and all is fine (for the minute)

Assuming it’s a simple print job like docx, txt, jpg and pdf, you could save the file on the cloud and print directly from phone / tablets to the printer connected to the local network.

I use Astra Linux and find it bullet proof. I've been using Ubuntu for my daily OS since the mid '00s. Not sure Astra would be my Debian distro of choice - apart from the sheer nicheness, you may like to look into the history and developers... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RusBITech

Would any gov facilities use something like Feren OS or Puppy? France's National Gendarmerie uses Gendbuntu.

If you use wireless connection to print, try uninstalling the printers and then connect by USB for a reinstall. That sometimes works when having printer problems. Once the printers are installed, disconnect the USB and try the wireless connection again. You could also check the printer suppliers website for updated W11 drivers. Good luck.
