A crown court judge has set a timetable for a proceeds of crime hearing to recover funds from two brothers who were convicted for various fraud offences earlier this year in connection to the failed peer to peer lending platform Collateral. Interesting to read that the Spanish assets are now being looked at.
...... and the flurry of emails and lack of answers, so typical of what I have seen throughout the scandal.
This new timetable obviously superceeds what Barry Ryan told me back in Aug 23.

Interesting to read that the Spanish assets are now being looked at. .... Before PC had told the Court that he had moved to Spain I supplied the following information to the FCA. I wanted to get the information 'on the record' since investors money had obviously gone missing. There is far more to Col than a simple change of name on the register and I wanted the FCA to know that investors knew that. The case could not be closed with the charges that had been laid.

Sally Currie is looking for a place to rent in Lancashire. Guess the Spanish lifestyle has been closed down. Where are the assets now and in whose name? Note on confiscation proceedingsThe FCA said in FOI9908 that they became aware that the Curries had moved to Spain in Nov 2021 i.e. one (or at a maximum of two) months, before I supplied the details above. No restrictions had been placed on PC moving and of course the freezing order only covered moving named amounts (presumably what was in bank accounts) from England and Wales.

I understand the hearing scheduled for 22nd May is now just a short procedural hearing to set the date for the actual proceeds of crime hearing.

Rodent One, or anyone else on here, do you know where the Curries are paying their dues?
Are they in some Country Club with freedom of movement, fine dining, swiming pool and tennis courts, etc, or are they where they should be, in a rat infested shithole, let out for an hour a day, and living on bread & water?
I SINCERELY hope it is the latter.
But I do FEAR it's the former?

I understand the hearing scheduled for 22nd May is now just a short procedural hearing to set the date for the actual proceeds of crime hearing. Why does this not come as a surprise to me, the FCA were previously trying to delay the final hearing, perhaps because they were very late to the Spanish connection? FWIW I do find it slightly strange that the FCA say that they found out that PC had moved to Spain and set up in business just a week or so before I dropped chapter and verse on them (see above). I had spent a month or so putting that information together so the timing of their finding out about the move is highly coincidental. Still begs the question, why did the freezing order only ever covered England and Wales. ozboy , I do not know of their current locations ............. however I think I have PC's mobile number kicking about, fancy giving him a call?

I understand the hearing on the 22nd May was adjourned until a date in June. (I wrote the date down but left my notepad at work so will update this with the actual date on Tuesday)

But still just a short procedural hearing AIUI You have to wonder what is going on, Curries objecting, FCA asking for more time or not getting the paperwork done? The process set out for this type of hearing is very clear, there shouldn’t be the need for extra hearings.

It is understood a three-day-hearing is currently scheduled to start on 5th November 2024I take it that this will delay our complaints against the FCA even longer as it seems obvious that they are waiting for a conclusion of this case.At this rate I will be getting my state pension before any chances of redress

FWIW Andrew Currie could well be out of prison when this hearing takes place!
